Computer goes to boot menu keyboard not responding

My Toshiba Laptop was working fine. I shut down the computer last night. This morning when I turned it on it goes straight to the setup menu even though I haven't pressed f2. once it gets there it blinks on the time but the keyboard is not working.

What is the model number of your toshiba laptop? What operating system have you installed in your laptop? Can you try to open up your laptop case and reset the cmos battery by taking it out for 5 minutes and then putting it back and then restarting laptop. If that doesnt work then do you have the recovery disk, choose the repair option to solve this issue.

What setup menu is it? Can you try to elaborate? Does it goes into BIOS or does it ask you to install Windows Operating System again. It could be that the OS might be corrupted so what you can do is restart the laptop and then press F8 button until it boots to setup and then try to repair the laptop, this way if there are any corrupted OS files, then it will get repaired.
