Need help setting up RAID 1

Hello everyone,

Noob person needs help setting up RAID 1. I have the following hardware
and I would like some help in turning this into a RAID 1 storage vault.

Two (2) Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB 32MB HD (WD10EADS)
Vantec NexStar MX (NST-400MX-SR)

Switching Jumper 1&2 are ON
Switching Jumper 3&4 are OFF

At the moment, both drives are up and running.

If someone could point me in the right direction (link), that would be
appreciated.

Cheers :D

Your link goes to an enclosure that does not handle RAID 1.

I simply picked the Vantec page that appeared to resemble the enclosure you
have, If it doesnt support raid 1 you would appear to be SOL

If you are using any usb enclosure, for other than data backup, then there
is likely to be a bottle neck in the connection

Re: Need help setting up RAID 1

The enclosure that I have, Vantec NexStar MX (NST-400MX-SR), does
support RAID 1. I am looking for guidance on how to set this up.
