Yesterday I completed assembling a brand new computer with MSI K9A2 CF-F motherboard and a 250GB HDD with Samsung DVD drive. I want to install Windows Vista on this system. But when I try to run the setup instead of booting it gives me the following error:
"Reboot and select proper boot device."
I thought there would be some problem with the Vista DVD, hence I checked it on my laptop, it works fine. Later I tried to boot my new assembled computer with Ubuntu Live CD but that dint boot either. Getting the same problem. I’m not sure what could be the cause for this problem but I highly suspect my DVD drive isn’t compatible with the motherboard ? Can it be ? Any suggestion how can I fix this problem and start the Vista installation ?
