Hauppauge HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC and 64 bit Vista Media Center

I have it all set up and working fine, but want to plug in composite yellow
connector to the TV Hauppauge card through a S-Video plug converter and watch
my little X-10 camera. I was able to do this on an old Hauppauge Modlel
40201 using XP and Win TV2000. Worked great. Could use the Hauppauge Win TV
program to watch my camera. I can't get the set up in Vista on media center
to recognize this input during the scanning set up, and can't see how to
switch the inputs from the normal cable to the S-Video input as a signal
source.

I noted some experience with others in using a cable box in between, but
don't want to put one on this computer.

Hauppauge has the software on their website and available which will let you
do this, but I am concerned about installing it and maybe affecting the Vista
Media Center Program.

Any experience with this out there?

i would recommend doing it the exact way you did it on xp. use the wintv
software for vista (ver. 6) and add the channel for that input you want
to use. i have a tv tuner from them too and that was the only way i
could get vista to read to input from the aux in from the card. if you
want to record with it i would recommend like i said just use the wintv
software. good luck :D

I have absolutely no trouble on Vista HP using either MC for TV or WinTV6,
I believe the composite in is channel 200.
