Driver for Canon LBP 2900 (Vista 64 bit)

I am looking for any print driver for the lbp2900 canon printer on Vista 64 bit (Vista Ultimate). I know that the question has been raised before, but I could not find an answer..

I would greatly appreciate any help..any ideas of other drivers that might be working

Unless Canon has a driver on their web site, there will be none.

The drivers need to come from Canon. If they are not listed on the site,
it's time to buy a new printer. But, sometimes, if you find a printer with
very similar specs, that driver will work, but not always. Good luck.

I should have been more specific: the op has a supposed newer Canon
printer that is not recognized on the Canon USA site; he has the wrong
printer model.

Same problem, it seems that CANON does not support Vista64 for
LBP2900:eek:.
The funny thing is that I bought this printer yesterday :(.... because
it is practically as the HP1010 of which I was very content but is not
supported by vista :mad:...

Does anybody know if Canon is going to support 64 bit?

Meanwhile I am searching to understand here and in case let U know.

Update.
Went this morning to the retailer. They change the Canon with an HP
which supports Vista 64.:o

Good news for me, unfortunately not for all.

Did you look on the European Canon website, they have a lot more Vista 64
bit drivers there than the US Canon website.
