aoe 3 warcheifs

hi i have been trying to uninstall aoe3 warcheifs but for some reason when the uninstaller starts it says

"Error Number: 0x80040702
Description" Failed to load DLL: FirewallInstallHelper
Setup will now terminate"

i am trying to get rid of the demo i had installed so i can install the full version but i keep getting that same error any help will be greatly help.

Do you try to format it, By the way on which disk do you place it. i hope that you dont put it on the C Drive. Do you?

when i installed the demo it went to the default spot c/program/microsoft/aoe3 ect

it uninstalled the first time no problem this time it won't remove tho don't know why and i can't reformat my pc that's not an option at this time got 2 many files that would get lost and screw me

or go in windows firewall settings and then under exception tab click on add program and select aoe 3 and by the way which os are u using home or pro??? and which service pack???

it's already added to exception tab i run home sp2

then you need to download advanced uninstaller you will find it on

just install it and then locate aoe and uninstall it if not able to then force uninstallir or finally select manually remove, if this also does not work just reply me will give you more options.

nope still same error from that uninstaller as windows build in one

Have you tried disabling the windows firewall????
and also try downloading windows installer from microsoft website and install it from this link

or try creating a new user account with admin rights and then you can just copy all you documents from your old account in to the new if it works. make sure at that time u are not connect to internet.

or if this problem is anly with this particular game then go to the registry and by clicking on start --> run --> regedit --> ok and then HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE and locate aoe and delete it from there and also manually delete the installation file from program files.

got it from the registry now it's only showing in add and remove programs is there a way to manually remove it from there?
oh ya the disabling the firewall doesn't work i even tried to download the dll but had no luck finding it

umm never had a chance to try that yet but i have a dummy account set up with admin for running other programs and my gaming server for rf and i was thinking i had that account when i installed the demo maybe it's still on that user
