Need for speed underground 2 demo Playing error

I have a problem running need for speed underground 2 demo

i can see all menus and can change all the settings of need for speed underground 2 demo but when

i run the game i see only speedometer map and sms box and also how many points i have earn and

the positon of all players including me but all other things like background ,scenery and car

cannot be seen.
I mean when i run the game i cant see any car, background etc the screen is black for this.
i can hear sound and i also completed 1 race without able to see any road and car but why cant i

see car, background execpt speedometer map and sms box and also how many points i have earn and

the positon of all players including me

I have compaq presario 700 with 128 mb ram (16 mb shared)
Please see i can run need for speed hot pursuit 2 demo without any problems
Win xp

My 2nd computer is win 98, 600 pentium, 256 mb ram
when i ran speed2demo it says has performed illegal operation

Please anybody can donate me their old graphics card that is useless to them .
Pci graphics card only as i dont have any agp slot

hmm...i think u're system specs are below minimum requirements for the game...
and thats why u're unable to run the game...

do u have a 3d graphics card installed? if yes, then which one?

Do you have DirectX 9 installed? It is a requirement to play this game. Also Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 had lower system requirement. Here are the system requirements for NFS Hot Pursuit demo and Underground demo respectively

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (NFS Hot Pursuit)

Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP operating system
Intel Pentium III (or compatible) CPU running at 450Mhz or higher

Those are system requirments for NFS U He is trying to play NFSU2

I dont think you can play this on your config.

i dont have any graphics card

you'll need atleast 32MB VRAM to play the game...
and ur onboard card must support 3D graphix...
Also, the minimum RAM installed in ur sys should be atleast 288MB
[since 32 MB will be shared and min. required is 256MB]
still then u'll need lotsa luck to run the game at low settings..

The only option, get a vga gfx card...
if u don have a vga slot, get at least 32MB PCI gfx card
that supports DirectX 7 or more...
your first PC needs more RAM
while ur second PC needs more processing power...
So, my advice is UPGRADE !!

play the earlier versions of nfs instead or upgrade ur pc..

i also get similar error in NFS U and NFS U2 infact for rollercoaster tycoon3 also. My xp shows error message that corrosponding .exe file (speed2demo fo r NFSU2) has performed illegal operation and will be closed.plz send report to microsoft.
I have p4 1.6Ghz 768MB SDRAM @100Mhz oni845 mobo,i have Apollo 3D thrill sis 315 pro graphic card with 128MB Vram i also have directX 9.0c installed.and have latest driver for graphic card.What could be the problem.I atleast expect NFSu to run on my system.is it possible.
When i tried it on ME screen goes blank for few seconds and returns to desktop

i 845 has Intel extreme 1, you can not run these games on that gfx processor, if you want to play these games, you will have to buy a graphic card

prices of gfx card ranges from 2500 to 25000
