How to play Need for Speed Underground 2 on LAN

i tried to play underground 2 with my colleague connecting 2 laptops to a hub
but it hangs on lobby part both we were able to make a server but cannot see the server running
need help if someone faced the same prob

Try using the Ip's rather than finding the servers...

Put the Ip's to connect to each other and r u using a serial cable connection or using a LAN hub?

we use a lan hub and problem still there (

I face very similar problems, we can create servers, but when someone tries to join it, he cant, and the host stays stuck "trying to connect to the lobby".
Sucks.

yeah me too it never connects to the lobby and i am using a cable to connect my laptop and pc

About the lobby thing:

If you select lan, cancel the looking for a server and create your own game make sure that your firewall is off or has the right settings to allow the traffic...

I didn't manage to make vista to be a server, for some reason, won't be found by others so try form another OS.

Then from a vista machine to join a game, make sure that you run it as admin. Right-click select "Run as administrator" otherwise you will have the error message that cannot connect to EA server + something about the cable... or something like that

Hey thanks i will try that, though i managed to play this game on lan at one of the cyber cafe's, it was a good experience

The only problem is now that when in LAN there are no other cars in the city. The best feature of the game is removed!!!

Does anybody know of a game that provides city traffic when playing on a LAN?

go to control panel > system security > windows firewall > allow a program or feature through windows firewall > now find "speed2" in the list > now tick all the three options i.e. "in front of" speed2 , "under home/work(private) " section , "under public" section.... and now click "OK"
