Resident Evil 5 won’t work on windows 8

I just installed Resident Evil 5 on windows 8. I did not had any issue in installing it but after installing it when I am double clicking on the game exe nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game 3 times but no luck. Is there a way to get it working?? I don’t have windows 7 anymore. I dint knew ill run in to such issues after upgrading to windows 8.

There are many games that are not yet fully compatible with windows 8. However, I have come across many people who have managed to get Resident Evil 5 working on windows 8 after running it in compatibility mode. You can run in compatibility with Windows vista service pack 3.
In case it doesn’t work, then you can try using some other compatibility option from the drop down menu.

Yes try running Resident Evil 5 in compatibility mode on windows 8. It worked for me.

1. Right click on Resident Evil 5 exe
2. Select properties
3. Click on compatibility tab
4. Select “Run this program in compatibility mode” and select windows 7 in drop down menu
5. Save the changes after clicking on apply and ok
6. Launch the game again.

Running Resident Evil 5 in “Windows vista service pack 3” compatibility mode made no difference but running it in “Windows 7 compatibility mode” worked.
