Sleeping Dogs game lags and stutters

I have started playing Sleeping Dogs few hours ago and I am finding the game quite laggy and stuttering my case. I have tried lowering all possible settings for playing the game but that’s not making any difference in my case, has anyone faced the same or this is an issue just in my case? Any ideas?

You should have mentioned your system specification in your post so I could have got better idea of issue you are going through. Even I have bought Sleeping Dogs steam version and I am not facing any issue as such. Hope you are having better system than this:

• Minimum System Requirements:
• OS: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7
• CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Althon X2 2.7 GHz
• RAM: 2 GB
• HDD: 15 GB free disk space
• Graphics: More than 320 MB Graphics Memory
• Sound Card: DirectX 10 Compatible
• DirectX: Version 10

Yes I am well aware of the requirement of this game, why would I get a game whose requirement is not met by my system? Anyways this is what I am having:

• i5-750 @ 4.0 GHz
• Nvidia gtx570
• Intel Core i3 370M @ 2.4 Gh
• Windows 7

I also wanted to add that I have installed latest driver for my video card but to no avail. Let me know if there is anything else that I need to check out??

Try running the game with these setting:

• Ambient occlusion - Normal
• AA – High
• Shadow res – High
• Shadow filter – Normal

So now I have tried running the game with above setting but game is still lagging and stuttering from starting. I have installed all recommended updates as well and my system is better than the requirement of the game. Don’t know what the hell is causing the game to lag badly. I have ensured other things like I am not running any other application in background while playing the game but no luck yes. Is there anything I can try out further to get this game working or I’ve just wasted my money?

Just try running the game with these settings:

• Anti-aliasing - High
• Hi-Res Texture - ON
• Shadow resolution - High
• shadow filter - Normal
• Ambient occlusion - Normal
• V-sync - ON
• Motion Blur - OFF
• World density EXTREME

You should also go in to nvidia control panel >mange 3d settings > power management mode > and prefer maximum performance. Just give these things a shot and let me know if they are helping.
