Can i run Dark Souls with Nvidia GT 540M

• Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz
• Corsair TW3X4G1333C9A XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 ram
• Nvidia Geforce gt540M 1GB

I just wanted to know if I will be able to run Dark Souls with my video card without any issue or not? I am willing to get it.

According to the system requirement of the game you need to have this:

Minimum Requirements:
GeForce 9500 GT 512MB GDDR3 or Radeon HD 4650

Recommended Requirements:
GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB or Radeon HD 4850

Since you are having Geforce gt540M 1GB you should be able to play the game without any issues.

I think that you have haven’t gone through the review of the game, I have come across people complaining about the fps even after having high end card, probably better than Nvidia GT 540M. Many people have mentioned that they are not able to get fps more than 15 no matter which card they are having and at what resolution they are running the game, if you don’t trust my words then just go through this thread and you will come to know about it.

That’s my thread, I really won’t suggest you to get this game. I had bought it recently and I haven’t found a fix for fps issue. I have tried out all the possible solutions that have been mentioned in above thread but I can’t get past 15 fps. I have tried all possible solutions that I could have from here and other forum, Dark Souls is just not worth. Ive already wasted my money getting this game, you don’t repeat it.

I don’t know what’s wrong in your case Teelak but even I have started playing the game recently and I am not having any fps issue with it. I can get 35 fps easily with Nvidia GT 540M and I don’t think I need more than that to run the game. There might be some issue in your system, I agree that there are people facing issue with fps but on the other hand there are people who are enjoying the game as well.

SravanK, I really don’t think you need to worry about anything, your Intel Core i5-2410M and Nvidia Geforce gt540M should run the game without any problem.
