Not getting more than 15 fps in Dark Souls

I have started playing Dark Souls and I am not able to get past 15 fps with my system, I am aware of the system requirement of this game and my system is fulfilling it. I have tried playing the game at different resolution and setting but no matter what I am not able to get above 15 fps for this game. I dint had such issue with other games, it seems as if there is something wrong with Dark Souls. Has anyone else faced low fps with this game? Is there anything I can try to do to get better fps?

I am going through the same issue, even I am not able to get fps above 15. In my case my system is having i5 2500k processor, 8GB Ram and AMD 7870 video card which are better compare to the system requirement of this game:
    • CPU:AMD Phenom II X2 545 3.0 Ghz
    • RAM:2 GB
    • VGA:ATI Radeon HD 4870 - GeForce 9800 GTX+
    • DX:9.0c
    • OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or newer
    • HDD:4 GB
    • Sound: Direct Sound Compatible

I wanted to know if you both have installed latest video card driver ? If not then install the same and see if that’s making any difference. If that doesn’t help then you can try turning off Anti-aliasing and Motion Blur from the menu. If at all you don’t get any help from that then you can close the game and try creating 3D application profile in CCC for DARKSOULS.exe. Just try out these things and let me know if any of them is helping you both to get better fps then what you are getting currently.

Re: Not getting more than 15 fps in Dark Souls

My system specs are as followed:
    • Intel Core i5 450M
    • Kingston 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM
    • GeForce GT 325M, 1GB VRAM

By now I have tried turning off vsync, turning off Anti-aliasing and Motion Blur from the menu but these things are not making any difference. Other than these I have tried un-installing and reinstalling the game as well but no avail, Is there anything I can try out further??

Re: Not getting more than 15 fps in Dark Souls

This is what I have found for fixing low fps issue for Dark Souls:
    • Update all hardware drivers including of Graphic Card drivers
    • Try running game in lower graphic settings.
    • Turn off Motion Blur, Shadows and Triple Buffering for smoothness and better performance.
