low fps limit while playing Death Rally

I have bought this game yesterday and I am running it on a 120hz screen but I don’t know why I am getting just 60fps, it’s quite low and I should get 120fps right? I don’t know if this is an issue just in my case or there are other people facing the same as well. So I wanted to know if anyone has encountered the same or is aware of a fox for it?

It’s just not you, I have faced the same, even I am having a 120hz monitor and am just getting 60fps. I have played games like counter-strike source and had it running at 120fps without any issues but I don’t know why I can’t get the same for Death Rally. It seems as if there is something wrong with the game, by now I’ve got addicted for playing games at 120fps and I really cannot rely on 60fps anymore. I just wanted to know if it is so because of 3D? I don’t think it should be but I need a clarification on the same.

I have checked about the same and I think that it is because of 3d, many people have mentioned that you cannot get over 60fps if you are playing a game in 3d even when you are having a 120hz monitor. Some has mentioned that there won’t be any benefit of having a 120hz monitor when playing game in 3d.

Yes 120hz are good for 3D gaming but if you don’t like playing game in 3d then you won’t find any gain rather than the smoothness of the game. No matter if you are running game on a 120hz monitor or 60hz monitor you won’t be able achieve above 60hz. human eye cannot perceive anything above 60 fps. You will find gaming on 120hz monitor better as it will run smooth as compared to 60hz monitor but you won’t see 120 frames per second, anything above 120 frames per second is said to be faked by monitors.
