Not happy with some parts of DiRT Showdown Game

I played the demo version of DiRT Showdown and I found that the cars that are provided in the demo version have a funny look and do not have realism in its looks. They all look straight out of cartoon. Also the position of nitro boost is not proper in DiRT Showdown. Some cars have the nitro boost aligned between the wheels while one of the truck has it on top. I know that game is meant for destruction and fun, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be any realism. How many people feel that this poor look it gives to the cars used in DiRT Showdown?

Actually the cars used in DiRT Showdown look funny or maybe cartoonish to you is because they are textured colorfully using the contrasting colors. If you have seen the cars that are used in real derby races, then they too are colored the same way. In DiRT Showdown, the cars that we start with seem to brand new. But in real no person in right mind would enter a derby race with a brand new car. All the cars are broken and ready to break down at any moment. The cars used in real derby are rusted, broken and dented from various places. To cover those dents and cracks, they are colored in contrasting colors.

in DiRT Showdown, the cars used in destruction derby are not licensed. So maybe developers tried to create cars of their own. Also since the objective of the derby is to destroy opponent and saving own car, players tend to modify it according to themselves. This helps them to save the critical parts like main engine, gearbox and other such parts from getting damaged. Codemasters have tried to replicate this in DiRT Showdown as closely as possible. If you want to play using real cars with proper coloring scheme and body parts, then play the Gymkhana Events. The cars available for these events are official and licensed models of real cars.
