Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

Sponsored Links
I am thinking of getting this game, the trailer looks great , graphics is immense and the gameplay looks even awesome. But still I need to know the experience of the people who have already got this game. It would be really fun to know what is your first thought on this game. How do you feel about this game .

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

My first game impression is that I got bored when reached halfway through. Don’t want to go to comparisons to the original game and the dissimilarity between the gameplay and atmosphere. The time loop stuff looks like fun in the beginning but it is the clever way to re-use the same thing three time and increased the length of the game . The story mode don’t have any replay value because first you are not able to play in the harder difficulty, the second thing is the game is too repetitive and the last is that in mini-map you have to collect every manuscripts on your first play. ight till dawn is the reason that I am playing this game.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

I feel the game remain the same but there are improvements in the graphic. All the parts of this game has Alan’s torch showing off very impressive lighting effects. The developer has captured the Arizona desert very well and the storm effect seems very nice. This is same as to the misty forests of the original game. The production value is of high quality that has lots of better environmental detail and incidental touches. That only thing that is bothers me is the slight lack of texture detail.

The combat is given a new look with adding few new weapons and enemy types. The most important thing is the Situational awareness and crowd control tools and one of which is to lure the enemies on the car. There are lots of ammo available this time around with the lots of ammo pickups and the best part is pick up always gives the bullets for the exact weapons that you are carrying.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

Well I have already completed the game and feel that this is great game. The game introduction part is not really motivating but you will keep getting clue where you have to move. Some part I actually fell that they should have decrease the amount of ammo and batteries and I personally feel that the game will gets much better if you can spare stuff. There is also room for improvement of the animation and movement of the characters. They just don’t looks like more alive, other than that this is an awesome game. The graphic other then the animation and movement of the characters is great. The game got the good story line . I sometime wonder that why I like this game so much as I fell this game is easy to play.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

Yeah even I feel that the developer was looking to experiment with the weapons and actually kick back with the combat system in the story mode . This feels okay and there is a separate Arcade mode. This is the actual place n the Alan series where you can find combat bowls with waves of respawning enemies, place of weapon pickups and the small things of staying alive. Looking at the main campaign mode it seems a bit confusing at the moment. I feel the game is not really a true sequel, it is set after the original of which there is so many references. The game takes you to the progressing from A to B in a series of fetch quests along with the addition of finding key items so that the Alan will rewrite his reality. This contain the quick check of the manuscript pages of the recent item in particular sense.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

I really like Alan Wake and there is a purpose for that. The story is great with good atmosphere and graphic is awesome. There are certain flaws but that can be neglected. In Alan Wake's American Nightmare I feel like there is something missing. The co op mode will be never suitable for the Alan Wake but in Alan Wake's American Nightmare it will be perfect. With the more challenges in the gameplay and in the co-op mode it will be surely the one of the best game that I have ever played. Perhaps the reason of missing the coop mode is that it will add to the cost of the game in retail.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

When I started to play Alan Wake's American Nightmare it just bring me back the first played Alan Wake. This game is enjoyable, perhaps a bit easier game play but I am still enjoying that. Except the voice of the Alan Wakes all the other seems to be reading from the scripts instead if natural dialogue. I am so fond of Syndicate and Borderlands that I actually keep aside for this game. I finally had some decent gameplay and I am actually loving the control and other aspect of this game also.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

I enjoyed the game when I played it. I really liked the new weapon and enemies. The new people in the game is not well detailed and the dialogue are poor. The dialogue in the radios and TVs on the other hand looks great, the problem is only with one where the character are talking to each other. Also I have notice that this game does not has any atmosphere which was in the first game. And the recharge of the battery is actually very quick, this is revealed by the fact that I have been played for an hour now and won’t feel to change the battery once. Well I have even completed the Alan Wake without changing the battery as well but here switching battery seems point less to me. I have played the Arcade mode and the game froze for few minute.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

I am Definitely satisfied with the game, just played trough the arcade mode and I totally enjoyed the storyline. The writing was nice as always and I like that few of the combat has been little harder than in Alan Wake 1. In fact the Alan Wake 1 as the first game is way too easy as far as compare to the nightmare mode. This game has similar mechanics which can help to make this game little more challenging . The thing that I hate about this game is the dodge feature. The environment get repetitive while playing like about forth time around in the game's cycle. The positive thing in the game would be the storyline, graphics is seems to be improved in this game. The humor was FUNNY and is not over stated the game but relieve tension at the right time. They were also some scary moments also. The scripts are well written.

Even I am very impressed with the new version. It has great change in the enemy ranks and they are actually very good looking as well. And when you trying to fight off the horde the Grenade guy maintain the pressure by throwing grenades. And the Birdman is the awesome concept. I only disappointment that I see is splitter. He looks cool still swap of the regular taken and he is very easy to beat.

Re: Impressions of Alan Wake's American Nightmare Game

I have the mix feeling with the game. I was not thrilled nor I am displeased after completing the game. I really like Alan read manuscript throughout the game. The voice for the Alan superbly done. I know it is as same as the first but feel worth to mention it. The main story of AWAN is not that fascinating. I feel the AWAN was not even closer to the original . I even don’t like the graphics during the cinematic. This game is not bad but original still wins.
