Download randomly stops while downloading Diablo III digital copy

I am downloading this game through Blizzard Downloader. I dont face any problem between 4 to 5 MB of the game download but after that my download stops and speed get to 0.0. My internet connection is working fine and I have disabled antivirus and Firewalls as well.

Do anyone know how to fix this… currently my download is stuck at 20%. I have tried to re-download game but doesn't worked for me, please help me on this.

I guess there is some kind of ISP restrictions to download the game continuously. Hence try to disable peer-to-peer. This may help you to download game without any issue. If you’re using Older or faulty network equipment then you should disable peer-to-peer because network equipment not able to handle connections of P2P protocol.

To disable peer-to-peer protocol go to View option in Blizzard Downloader Menu and then click on Preferences. In Preferences make uncheck mark in Enable Peer-to-Peer Transfer check box and then save all settings…

Secondly Trojan, virus, or keylogger will obstruct with Blizzard Downloader, so it’s necessary to run scan before downloading game. I would recommend you to update the antivirus software and virus definitions prior to Scan.

Try to Power Cycle your modem and router because many general downloading and file transfer problem can be solved by resetting the connection on your modem /Router. Power Cycling your modem and router will help you to reset the connection to your ISP. Follow these steps to Cycle Your Modem and Router:

1. First of all turn off the computer and then turn off and unplug Power cable of Router /modem.
2. Now Plug-in power cable and Turn on the modem/router. That’s it

Have you disabled the Proxy Settings before starting downloading? Make sure your system is not using proxy server. An internet proxy is a server that resides between the computer of a user and the computer where the information is saved by the user. This is generally used to sort or transmit regular traffic, so home internet should not use proxy server.

To disable or remove proxy server you need to following steps: go to start and after that make click on control panel. On control panel make open Internet Options (if you don’t get in Internet Options in control panel then this will listed under Network and Internet). In Internet Options go to Connections tab, then click on LAN setting button, make uncheck in Use a Proxy Server for your LAN Check box. That’s it now your Proxy Settings are disabled and you can download game without any issue.

You must be logged is an administrator to download the game properly. Also any 3rd party programs or windows Process/services or certain program could be using network resources. This might be interfering with Blizzard Downloader.

So in this case I would suggest you to perform Clean Boot or MSCONFIG to disable all Background Applications for temporarily. First go to start, click run, on run type: msconfig and after that make click on ok button. Now you will get System Configuration utility windows, under that go to General tab, click on Selective Startup and deselect the Load startup items check box. Once you complete with all above steps Click OK and Reboot system for best result.
