Risen 2 Dark Waters vs. Witcher 2

I would like to tell that there are many people how loves to play Risen 2 Dark Waters and I also know that there are many more people who do not love to play Risen 2 Dark Waters and instead of that they play Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. So I would just like to know who plays which game. And if possible just let me know small reviews of both the games. Or just tell me what do you think which game is better.

Re: Risen 2 Dark Waters vs. Witcher 2

One of the most characteristic elements of the first installment was their fight, a really curious mechanism that divided the experience of fighting in three areas distinct from the swordplay that we had simultaneous real-time. This striking and unusual style is completed with a performance based on thrusts that took into account the rate at which greater extent than the accuracy or any other consideration. In the PC version of The Witcher 2 released last year it all changed radically, and that CD Projekt Red chose to change the genuine and somewhat uncomfortable to the nomination of his predecessor by a much more generic, but also more appropriate and accessible to any audience. For the second, yes, suitably adapted to the pad management console. Thus a small marker in the center of the body of the enemy that we will attack manages all our movements, so we just have to use the right stick to highlight the opponent we are going to attack and Gerald will begin to link the beatings - smooth and fast with the green button, A, and heavy and somewhat slower with blue, X-, and magic in the yellow, Y, and the possibility of using the objects in his pockets bombs, knives, traps using the same mechanics with the top buttons of the pad assigned shortcuts.

Re: Risen 2 Dark Waters vs. Witcher 2

About Risen 2 Dark Waters the year was 2001 when the young German Piranha Bytes development team rose to the limelight with an RPG quite innovative for its time and very personal style, Gothic.

The game of the German team while belonging to a concept tending to play "old school" revealed at the time as a product with a distinct originality with many elements of gameplay very interesting: the combat system took a turn "action", the game world is smaller than is that of direct competitors, but much more alive and dynamic non-player characters who react to our choices and change accordingly without being tied Scripting is very hard, and especially a lot of attention to detail so that in some places you could also guide without looking at the game map in contrast to the fashion that drove her to worlds far more extensive, but also quite lame.

Even the plot then stood for a certain amount of originality placing ourselves in the shoes of a man with no name and no doubt from the past thrown in a prison from which escape is nearly impossible due to the presence of a magical barrier that allows you to enter, but not to go out, the improvised hero then was inserted into the complex routine of life has arisen within this barrier and find a way to exploit it to their advantage to weaken it. All this, however, also led to apparent innocence of "youth" of the software house in question and the relationship with the NPC, for example, was it linked to our choices, but these decisions did not go beyond the classic "choice of faction" and the plot they had an undoubted originality but unfortunately also presented narrative ingenuity is not insignificant.

Re: Risen 2 Dark Waters vs. Witcher 2

In second part of Witcher 2 waives directly adapt Andrzej Sapkowski's books and continues to experience directly where the original left off, only this time radically expanding prism. The story somewhat minimalist in the first part is multiplied in different directions in the second, with a complex web of betrayals, political intrigues between realms and intimate moments as the relationship between itself and the attractive Triss Geralt. A marvelous array of superb form that complies with the work required of an RPG: tell a great story that grabs the fan and also enjoyed small but great detail, for example, how to tell the missions from the menu objectives. As if it was a story.

Re: Risen 2 Dark Waters vs. Witcher 2

Risen 2: Dark Waters is some time after its predecessor. The well-known nameless hero languishes in Caldera around and resting on his success. Or rather, He decant rum carefully with the ruling in Caldera inquiry, however, has other worries. Due to the encroachments of the Lords titanium are large parts of the world in ruins. The remaining sea, however, are blocked by Titan Lord Mara and their pets, especially a giant octopus. When a ship is sunk once again in front of the harbor, the waves wash ashore an old friend Patty, the daughter of Steel Beard the pirate, however, comes with good tidings. Apparently because their master has discovered that a weapon with which you conquer Mara and thereby secure at least the sea is again. The inquiry is the path of least risk and asked our anonymous so, go to the thing on the ground. He quickly finds out that the weapon actually exists and is made up of four artifacts that are hidden among the islands off the coast of calderas. Just stupid, that the items are not easy to obtain. The Nameless goes so secretly among the pirates and encounter all sorts of brutes, to natives and rival pirate captains.
    Slightly thinner new beginning
This is partly because it does not directly throw into the deep end of piracy, but in the early environments will gently introduce. The plot involves a whole mass of good and funny pirate cliches implemented. Unfortunately, this is the bottom line but then only a very superficial adventure story about the hunt for the artifacts. True highlights, epic moments or emotionally touching things I missed almost entirely.

Re: Risen 2 Dark Waters vs. Witcher 2

Risen 2: Dark Waters is not extremely a role playing game. The playable areas are limited and the islands are crossed in a few minutes. But while all locations no full of ravines, caves and mountains that force the player to use his sense of direction as to what happens in securities fully open. Also, consider the structure of the action adventure title, the fact that the zones are clearly separated, which includes a loading screen for sea voyages between an island and the other, is not necessarily a bad thing. New micro world to explore from time to time we make it feel weds Vasco De Gama with the feeling of discovery that is undoubtedly related to the climate and atmosphere of the title. Furthermore, although it is always full of Caribbean islands plants, artists Piranha Bytes did an excellent job of characterizing colors and places with huge waterfalls and grassy hills alternating dark and deep canyons. Unfortunately the work is not as good in the case of the dungeon. Simple caves and temples made from a few square rooms are probably realistic but do not do justice to a fantasy title that speaks of gods and ancient treasures. At least we would have expected the cave where the ship rests Willy for young people has been feeding the film of the Gooiness, but we would have satisfied even a few nice Aztec maze. Actually there are a couple of caves are slightly larger but still anonymous and are incomparable to what is offered by the latest RPG. Removed dungeon exploration and free most of the work of the developers was therefore spent on context and narrative on the sector. The result is certainly very good but kind of approach does not allow a record longevity. In forty hours to make several side quests and be ready to go to the grand finale. Obviously the sauce gets longer if you decide to explore every corner and crevice of the areas explored in search of each treasure. We spend the last words of the crew that will accompany us on our journey traveling. The game offers no real management of the party, but simply accompanies us to a character among those who believe we have to follow us in our adventures. At any time we can return to our boat and choose another companion in adventure, but once they landed, he will simply follow us and fight in a totally automatic remain by our side on the ground waiting for our care when hit so deadly. Forget short of party management in the traditional sense or the ability to venture accompanied by the power of large numbers.

Re: Risen 2 Dark Waters vs. Witcher 2

Risen2 picks up where the previous chapter was finished, that is, with the nameless hero who defeats the titan of the fire and save the world. But does hero has to face a titanic new threat: Mara, marine deity of very warlike intentions and dedicated to the classic pastime of wanting to exterminate all creation. Our hero, however, is not doing very well: it is disillusioned, lost an eye in the previous battle (but the band also gives him anyway) and especially his thoughts drowned in rum and utter idleness inside the fortress crystal Caldera, the last bastion of "old world" against the attack of Mara and his Kraken sinking ship on ships as they were simple paper boats. The event that pushes our hero riders composure (the limits of human decency in other words) and back in the game is the caldera of a wrecked ship previously sunk by Kraken from which survives only Patty, and handsome pirate a lot of old knowledge Our Nameless hero as a minor character in the first chapter.
