Making mobile games without using programming language

I am interested in making games for mobile phone as well as for other platforms. I have no idea about any programming languages which I know is required for developing higher level of games with good graphics. To develop any game or any in game interaction programming language is necessary. Since you don’t know any of them, you will need to use tools like GameMaker available to develop games. It doesn’t provide high quality of graphics and animations, but it will satisfy your urge to make games. Prof Mark Overmars in 1999 developed GameMaker in year 1999. Since then it has proved to be one of widest used game development software with figures of downloads as high as ten million all over the world. You can create games by using the default options, tools and items by just drag and drop actions. You can also create games in short period of time. The game is equipped with GameMaker Language (GML) which provides a good flexibility in making of game. Using GameMaker you can develop games for HTML 5, which is to play it online. You can also make games for Android operating system and also for iOS. It also provides option for making game for Windows. You can make the game for yourself or share it with your friends. You can also sell the games. It also has internal image editor which provides a better control on the graphics and their development. Some resources can also be altered according to need during run-time. With proper experience and learning you can also develop 3D games using GameMaker. It also provides particle effects for creating basic effects like explosions and dust. It also provides options for hardware acceleration and options for various types of fonts. It also comes with features like 3D audio, audio editing and functions for basic sound tweaking. It also provides options to create executables of the game. GameMaker works on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. It can also be used on DirectX 8 and needs minimum of 32 MB of video memory. It needs a display unit of resolut6ion 800 X 600 with support for at least 32 bit colors. You can also develop scripts and develop add-ons for use.

You can also try Reality Factory to develop games. Using this free game development toolkit, you can develop games of higher graphic quality as it supports 3D graphics. Developing games using Reality Factory too doesn’t need knowledge of any programming language. You can create 3D action, adventure or RPG games using Reality Factory. It allows users to develop games that use first person view camera as well as use gaming cameras from third person view. It is built using Genesis3D Open Source engine which provides such good quality of 3D graphics and is supported by almost all graphic cards. You will need to create characters, environment and props in other softwares like 3Ds Max and Autodesk Maya, but to do the coding work, you won’t need any knowledge about coding or programming languages like C or C++. You won’t even compilers that will do the compilation of codes.

Reality Factory provides an feature called ‘entity’ which can be used to set an action that should take place when user does an certain action or interaction. An entity can be used to set an audio, effect or an interaction that should take place on certain action taking place. These entities can be used to set activation of multiple effects, audio at a certain point. It also provides ‘rapid game prototyping tool’ which provides an base structure for developing a certain type of game ranging from first person shooter to third person shooter. Using this tool, the items and entities will arrange themselves as they should be placed for specified type of game. This tool has certain presets for every type of game, these presets will be applied and then user can change unwanted items and replace them with required items in leisure time. You can achieve a quality game like Quake 3 which you can even sell in market.

This game development tool too doesn’t need any knowledge of coding and programming languages. The main feature about this development toolkit is that it supports multiple tileset. It also has autoshadow feature which generates shadows for objects that developer introduces in the gaming world. This development kit has most developed map editor if compared to other such development softwares. First person shooter games are in great demand nowadays and you will also find game development tools for these games. You can use FPS Creator to make a first person shooter without using any programming language or having knowledge about them. It provides various presets for development of environment using presets and props. The environment can be built in a viewport similar to building world of SimCity. FPS Creator also features tool to test the game during runtime. This development tool also provides option for multiple levels designing feature. Using this feature you can design a transition state between two levels after which the user will directly continue with next level. You can use corridors, rooms, objects, enemies and items from the softwares library to develop an level similar to your favorite game. If you closely take a look at the default rooms and corridors provided in library are similar to the rooms found in World of Warcraft and some other sci-fi games. The items in the library of this development tool are categorized according to theme, like sci-fi, medieval or modern buildings. This makes easier for the developer to maintain a theme for game and also find items easily. One can also learn the use of software by reading the help file as it provides a well documented information about the software. ‘Entity’ library is the feature provided by FPS Creator which provides various props and furniture. You can also hand place the items in the game like weapons and ammunition. This software provides an easiest alternative to develop a game without using any kind of coding.

An feature called ‘Test Level’ lets the user render the designed level and play through it. It can be used to test the working of the game. One can test the enemies, the weapon usage and also the way map is designed. The engine of the game also provides realistic collisions for the character. You can also create the effect in which the blood of you enemy will splatter on the surrounding solid objects after being hit. The level of gore can also be decided by the developer. Depending on the quality which one wants to achieve, minute details like persistence of bullet holes and other effects like cracks generated due to blasts can also be maintained. The audio level that this game development tool allows is also of very good quality. You can add footsteps and also design the level of volume they should provide depending on the distance the character is at. The default sounds available for weapons and other sounds like reloading and dropping of gun is also very realistic. Options provided for making the interface of the game like, menu or in game menu are also very good. This can be sued to add a professional feel in the game.
