Unable to use High Quality Texture in Legend of Grimrock

Hello I have installed this game on windows 7 recently although I have found lots of bug with this game. Some bugs are solved but I am not able play this game with High Quality Texture. On option menu I have set Texture Quality to high and saved all settings but after that I have found this has been reverted to medium. I have tried several time but I am getting the same result, so is there any way to set Texture Quality to high so that I can run this game without any issue. even i have contacted with game support and they have not replies yet...

Ok to solve this issue you can try one thing but this might affect game if you done wrong, you can set Legend of Grimrock Texture to High Quality by changing grimrock.cfg file. Go to the game installed location and under that open grimrock.cfg file. You can find grimrock.cfg: C:\Users\[your user name]\Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock. Now open this file on notepad and after that change textureResolution to 3 that’s it. Once you complete changing change textureResolution to 3 just save notepad in same location and after that start the game.

Hello thanks for the replies and I have tried to edit the grimrock.cfg file on game folder but this doesn’t helped me to solve mine issue. After restarting game I have found medium texture quality. I have tried to set grimrock.cfg file texture resolution to 3 again but getting the same result. I think this possible it's incorrectly reading vram and along with this game might have inbuilt limit for texture resolution. I have seen lots of player facing this issue but Devs not yet solved this issue. I really disappointed by and due to this game not looking good. Can anyone managed to solve this issue, please suggest here…

Hello I have gone through this same issue and I have gone through the lots of solution to solve this issue but nothing helped me to solve mine issue although recently Devs released new 1.1.4 Patch for game and through this patch you can solve your issue. So I would like to suggest you to install 1.1.4 Patch for game and after that you can change the texture quality to high. I hope this helps you…

Even I am facing the same issue and I am playing this game on laptop with quadcore cpu and an ATI Radeon Mobility HD4850 and I am playing standalone version. I have changed the below thing on grimrock.cfg and now I am able to play this game with the high quality texture. So I would like to suggest you to make sure you have below values:
