Can you just try to use these settings and see if it is making any difference:
just check this out and see if this is helping.Anti Analising-leave it for the app for deciding
Adaptive AA Off
smoothvision HD: leave it for the app for deciding
Catalys AI:Advanced
API Specific:support DXT textures
triple buffering On
forxe 24 bit z buffer.
where can i set those settings? i went to nvidia control panel -> manage 3D, but there are only some of those settings but not all.
Ok, have you tried changing those settings??? i mean the ones that you might have found similar to the ones mentioned above???where can i set those settings? i went to nvidia control panel -> manage 3D, but there are only some of those settings but not all.
of course i have tried...i found only anti aliasing and tripple buffering, but that didn't do it, i still have those red areas.
Which graphics driver version are you using? Is it the latest one? The latest graphics driver for your Nvidia 8600Gt is 296.10 WHQL version. This driver is a recommended upgrade for all GeForce users, especially those playing the latest hot PC games like Battlefield 3, Blacklight: Retribution, Diablo III, Mass Effect 3, or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and more. You can download and install the same on your pc by searching it on the official site of nvidia. But first you will need to remove all the remains of any previous drivers.
ok, and how can i see what is my latest driver, and how to remove it?
If you are using windows xp then go to start >> settings >> control panel. Then in there click on add or remove, if you have nvidia graphics card, then there will be something listed with nvidia, if it is ati video card then it will be ati, click on it and then check the version of the driver. You can even right click on "my computer" and select properties to view the specs.
ok, in add or remove I have nvidia drivers, nvidia ntune and nvidia physx, but when i click on any of that I can't see version.but i'm pretty sure that my drivers are out of date because i bought this computer in 2009, and since then i hadn't update drivers.so can you just please tell me how to remove my version and install the latest version?
Simply choose the option in add or remove to uninstall the drivers and then go to nvidia website and download the latest driver available for your video card. After uninstall do a reboot of the pc and then install the latest and restart again. By the way you didnt tell us what card, computer specs you have?
