Is Xbox 360 version of MLB 2K12 region free in this year?

as the title of thread is saying what I am looking to ask you over here. do you have any information regarding this game would be reason free? Post if you are having any useful information about the same. Thanks a lot in advance.

I would appreciate if this particular game is available in the Pal version in Europe. Already played the previous title and it was region free . so far I have found that NTSC versions for MLB 2012 supposed to be of region free version. But so far the developer of the game has not made any announcement on the same.

According to me NTSC-U and NTSC-J supposed to be of region free version. But it should not be of Pal. Right now I am playing MLB 2K11 NTSC on European Xbox. So at least I can say that MLB 2K11 NTSC si region free. I will be really happy if same thing is going to be happen with MLB 2K12. I let you know that MLB 2012 is totally unlocked hence there is no difference between PAL or NTSC. We will be able to play the game on any of XBox360 available in the market. So it is likely to MLB 2K12 would follow the same.

Yes you are right NBA 2k11 was region free and that’s why you were able to play on XBox360. As far as I know 2k12 will not be region free. One will be able to play this particular game on NTSC-U and NTSC-J XBox360.

I think MLB 2K12 would be region free though it is labeled as NTSC-U. German/Dutch shop listing this particular game as region free. If you have given a look on Play-Asia list then Asian version is listed as NTSC-U / NTSC-J. I deny that NTSC version of the game would not work on the PAL console. we have to wait till the downloadable version of the game becomes available on Xbox Live.
However if you are still not able to get the useful information then you should contact the developer of the game itself and ask about the thing. according to me the developer of the game can only give you correct information on the same.

I contacted the developer of the game and they have told me that Xbox 360 version of the game is not region free. It would not work on your gaming console. however PS3 version and computer version would work flawlessly.
