Hello I have not got this game yet but i will very soon. The most important thing on Showtime is the genies and magicians and I have got the less information on the genies, so here I just need to know answer of below question about Genies:

1. How does ensorcel work?
2. How does summon food work?
3. How does banish work?
4. Is there anything else? Elaborate please!
5. Is it true that ensorceled sims have a purple plumbob?
6. What does a genies need-bar look like?
7. Are there female genies?

Yes to female genies and its completely random (saw picture in forums) and if u can breed with them, I assume u can since they join your household and look like a normal sim.

Genies are magical and these made of fire and desert wind, if your Sims are auspicious they will get a Dusty Old Lamp containing a Genie. Once you get the lamp you need to call Genie and you cooperate Sim just like anyone else in town. Although genies are allow three powerful wishes. Finding a Dusty Old Lamp: The Dusty Old Lamp is home to a powerful Genie capable of granting your Sim three wishes.

Before genies are allow three powerful wishes you should find out Dusty Old Lamp in which a Genie resides. Here is ways to get Dusty Old Lamp in which a Genie resides:

• First discover Catacombs: to do this you need to go to the Mausoleum at Lidview Cemetery and after that select the discover Catacombs interaction. The catacombs below the Starlight Shores are filled with loot which comes with the rare gems and seeds. The Dusty Old Lamp is small object that which can be passed along with Sim inventory or you can place on any surface within your house. When outside your Sim’s inventory the lamp will not destroyed by fire or stolen. Genies like a karaoke, call upon your Genie from group and head out on the town for fun. When you get the Dusty Old Lamp you can call upon Genie for making wishes. To call Genies you should use the Clean Lamp interaction on the Dusty Old Lamp.

As I know you can make only one wish per day and That gives time to make a good decision. As above said the genies are allowed to three wishes, so therefore it will take some time to wish. You can also choose most 10 possible wishes and every wish as different effect. Genies wishing function is like an Lifetime Rewards but cost no Lifetime Happiness points. Once you have made wishes you should wait for the 24 hours to make another wishes. Once you have finish 3 whishes then Genies will disappear along with the Dusty Old Lamp. I have just got genies today and Love the genie it's one of the first things I went looking for, I think Ensorcel make genies best.

You can click anywhere in house and then your genies will interact with you. If you say Make house clean and sparkly, genies will cleans everything in your house. According to me some genies have achievement as well for instance double magic, have a genie be a level 10 magician and they have ability to perform legendary show in a big show venue. So I think there is greater stuff with the genies…
