after putting old hard drive in Xbox 360, cant load saved game

Hi guys I'm new here and could use some help regarding my xbox 360

I recently bought a new 360 4gb and I manged to put my old hard drive into the. New 360, its fitted in perfectly but for some reason when I try to load a saved game it won't, it jst starts a new game

I know there is somthing I need to do but don't qiute understand what ?

Help would be much aprreciated

Before doing any major changes I will recommend you to backup your files first. It can be possible that the new xbox 360 is not able to read those save game files because of which new game is loaded. There are certain importer tools on internet which are used to import save game files in Xbox. You can use them to import the files first to new location or to the default place where xbox stores all save game files. Only then it will work.
