The Darkness II is a Steamworks game?

I have found somewhere that the The Darkness II was accessible for the Steam. There were a lot of users who have mentioned about whether or not the non-digital version of game would be Steamworks. I am not able to find any answer for this and so I am posting this over here.

I would like to tell you that all the 2Ks recent releases are using Steamworks to each version of the game. If we talk about Duke Nukem Forever and Mafia II then they use the Steamworks and so there are chances that all the version of The Darkness II will be having this support. I am not really the fan of the Steam but I am required to tolerate it because these days we are forced to have the Steam.

Every time the developers gives extraordinary effort for their first game sections and build an atmospheric set design but they miss the context which facilitates the immersion into this world very much.

Yes, I also agree that the 2K is very friendly with Steam but there is nothing that is announced for the game at the moment.

Hey, I am having the PC version of The Darkness II and that is having the Steamworks integration. So I think that it is indication that retail copies of the game will activate with the help of the Steam along the similar lines as a few of our other current titles.
