What is the Minimum GPU Requirements for Oil Rush?

I am willing to get the Oil Rush as I have liked the demo of the game I have also checked out the Requirements for Oil Rush and for the video card they have mentioned “NVIDIA GeForce 8600/ATI Radeon HD2600 with 256 MB” but then I am having nVidia GeForce 8500 GT, so I just wanted to know that will I be able to pay the game with it or not?

I don’t think that you will be able to play the game with the nVidia GeForce 8500 GT as they have clearly mentioned that the Minimum GPU Requirements for Oil Rus should be NVIDIA GeForce 8600/ATI Radeon HD2600 with 256 MB:

• Processor-2 GHz
• Video Card-NVIDIA GeForce 8600/ATI Radeon HD2600 with 256 MB
• Memory-1 Gb
• OSWindows -XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (both 32- and 64-bit versions)
• HDD Space-1 Gb
• Additional-Sound card: any OpenAL compatible

As far as I am aware you can play the game with the nVidia GeForce 8500 GT with the other minimum requirement but then I think that it would be better if you get one from the recommended ones because I think that with the 8500 you won’t be getting better fps and you won’t be able to enjoy the game as well.

Yes the game will be quite laggy with the 8500 but then if you are not willing to get a better one right now then I will suggest you to just wait for the release as there is only a week left, so after that but the game and check it out if the game appears to be laggy and slow then you can think of getting a new one. I am not very sure but then I think that the Oil Rush starter might have been linked to the wrong launcher (/opt/oilrush/launcher_x64.sh), so just check it out and if it is directed to the same then just redirect it to /opt/oilrush/launcher_x86.sh and see if it is making any difference, just check it out and let me know if that is helping.
