City of Heroes is crashing because of OpenGL driver

There is an issue with Catalyst 11 series drivers and OpenGL based game City of Heroes. It is working with the Catalyst 11.5 however all the players are facing the same issue with Catalyst 11.3 and 11.4. I am not able to figure out why the above mentioned issue is occurring. Any help to meet the requirement of mine will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

To get the exact root cause of the problem you have to answer following questions.
Which operating system do you running?
What is the hardware configuration of the computer?
Let me know if you have done any changes on the computer?
Can you provide the log file of the crashing?

Currently I have installed 11.3 on the computer of mine and I have not found any issue. But still there are crashing issues with 11.4, 11.5 and 11.6.
I am posting the drivers which are unstable with City of Heroes.
Catalyst 10.10 and 10.11 with ATI Radeon 5770.

I think there is need to play with the settings of the refresh rate of the monitor. I recommend that you should go for the Control Panel and change the Refresh Rate to 60 rather than that of 59Hz.

Looking at the situation I am suggesting following solution which you can try to fix the matter.

1. You have to go for Registry Editor and look for the following regsitery.
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\GraphicsDrivers\
3. Now you have to right click on the same and click on New and go for DWORD (32-bit) value.
4. You have to name as TdrDelay and double click on the same.
5. You have to set as A or 10.
6. After completing with the same you have to reboot the computer.

I have searched on the internet to get the solution and I have found the following dumb solutions.

• You have to click on the Start button and right click on the Computer and go for Properties.
• Now you have to click on the Device Manager.
• After that you have to launch the Network Adapters section and right click on NIC.
• Now you have to go for Properties and click on Power Management and uncheck all the stuffs from the windows.

After that click on Ok button and see whether it is working or not.

Well according to me there is need of clean reinstall of the drivers on the computer of yours. after doing the same you will need to reboot the computer.

Do you have reinstalled the game? if you have not done the same on the computer then I am suggesting that you should download the game and install it on the computer. once you have completed with the installation you should restart the computer.

There could be bug issue with the drivers and it should be fixed by the developer. So you have to contact the developer and file a bug report to them. They will work on the same and they will release the patch which will be helping you out to fix the crashing issue which you have stated over here
