| Re: Bad PC keys/controls The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I have to rant a little about this, because this is insane. I have been playing for three hours and though the game looks very fun, everything going at a snail pace because of the interface and I feel like I am playing on a console. There is no more direct hotkeys, everything must go through the console's "Favorite menu" which means I need to pause the game and go into a menu just to switch weapons or spells and that's very much unacceptable in a PC game. The mouse doesn't work to click on many things, you have to navigate menus with arrows on your keyboard, slowing down gameplay once again to console level. |

For me, I found that the PC interface is generally fine. I was bummed out too at first until I learned to use the WASD keys for menu navigation and E and R for getting & dropping. It's super easy and quick and much better than the nasty mouse only interface in Oblivion. |

That is really reassuring. I was not expecting a different UI design vs. the console but some ability to hotkey is important to me. Some people need to look/experiment a little more before posting in a rush of anger. I guess I'll play with a gamepad and then Bethesda and its ports. You have to make the interface for PC first then port it to the console. Not the other way around. |

This is not only painful to use a mouse in this interface but they haven't even implemented a WASD interface properly, despite making that the thing they are trying to force you to use on the menus. I am going to have to stop playing and wait for Creation Kit. But this is totally unacceptable that Bethesda would so rudely ignore that and put them on the map in the first place. Without PC gamers, there would be no Elder Scrolls today. We shouldn't have to make interfaces that work for PC. |

This has nothing to do with how I intend to act, this has something to do with you sayings it's karma and it not making sense, I realize that because someone hit me I shouldn't randomly hit people. |

I should stop the diversion and go into a menu unequivocally to switch weapons or spells and that would be truly much unsuitable in a PC amusement. The rodent doesn't work to click on a considerable number of things, you need to pilot menus with bolts on your console, easing off gameplay over again to support level. |
