I will say light armor is best. You don't require heavy armor however you do would like the extra stamina usage as of using light armor and its perks. The most excellent abilities through a shield are bashing and sprint-knockdown. All which obtain a major amount of stamina. Light armor also gets pretty high AR if using the smith tree and the blocking makes up in favor of the ar hit. Bashing is critically op in this game.

Well it’s totally up to you actually. It’s a single player game. This is definitely the type of RPG where min/maxing stats and obsessing over numerical details is not the technique to play this game.

I get that and I’m not passionate however I wish for to be happy and there are allot of things I would like as far as perks and it seems there is a considerable perk savings going with light armor as well. Also wow the wind walker perk is nice. Just really wondering if you’re playing on expert ormaster if the shield mitigates sufficient damage at that moment you don't require heavy armor. Indeed, there aren't actually any dodge mechanics, excepting the perk that slows time if you are attacked through a power attack at the same time as blocking, light armour works within you favour for stealth, however in combat a shield doesn't go amiss. I make use of light armour and shield at the moment.

If I'm going to carry a shield, I more often than not will go through heavy armor. If I'm using light armor, I prefer to go through a two-handed weapon. I consider shield weight counts next to stealth, as a result I leave it behind. Even if it has no effect in terms of game mechanics, I would leave it in any case.

That’s type counter-intuitive to what I am thinking. At specialist and master armor matters additional with a 2 hander you have a limited block as a result you'll be relying on your armor; however with a shield you are supposed to be mitigating as much as possible by blocking as a result you shouldn't necessitate the extra armor through heavy.

That's an excellent rationale too. I figure if I'm playing a tank, I'm going to tank it up. Heavy armor and shield. If I'm in light armor, I would like to be stealthy, and shields work next to that. No right or wrong, just dissimilar. Not to mention, I love being Brave heart in favor of the first few levels - Storm Cuirass and a Great sword. Presently necessitate the blue paint and long hair. At what time I scrape some money mutually I go all tanky. My goal at what time I do acquire to the advanced armor is that I will have leveled Block well sufficient that I know how to use plate and a great sword and still have decent blocking abilities.

Heavy armor + shield and you take minimal damage. Why would you after that hop into light armour? as a result you are able to take more damage again? Perceptibly by using a shield you are planning on getting hit, not dodging, consequently why permit yourself to take more damage? Through a 2H you take additional damage when blocking, however with 2H you would like to not get hit through employing the advantage of all 2H weapons. Tank it up and get hit, or boost the damage and avoid getting hit.
