I pasted the dll file, but still the same error .

Where did you pasted it ? Hope in the games main directory. If yes, it should work. And is still its not working than you simply need to reinstall the game.

i pasted in the game directory, but i dont have social club exe file. i tried re installing , but dsnt work.

I pasted socialclub.dll in the games directory no help, and then I exacuted 2 commands ''cd C:/Program Files (x86)/Rockstar Games/L.A. Noire'' and ''regsvr32 socialclub'' and an error poped up saying that ''socialclub'' may not compatible with the version of Windows thats youre running. Check if the module is compatible with x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit) version of regsvr32.exe, did I do something wrong??

Hey you can get the socialclub.dll from the web you don’t have to worry much about the same, just Google out for that file, as far as the uninstalling the game is a problem you can just reinstall the game and after that try to uninstall it, just try it out and then let me know if you have any further issue’s.

It simply means that the OP is telling you if you are having the illegal version of the game then it might work, but as per the rules of this forum we shouldnt discuss on such topics.

uninstall the game - use ccleaner to remove any "straglers" - reinstall the game - download socialclub.dll (see above for link) - go to "program files" "rockstar games" "la noire - drag and drop dll into directory - now you can start the game and the patch will install without any probs

This topic is full of dull advices. I've got one working 100% for SKIDROW release.
First of all, your problem is that you probably had legit updated Rockstar Game Social Club while installing this WAREZ release. In my case -- i had one with mine legit GTAIV.
That's the reason why such a few people had this problem.

What you have to do is simple:
1 - Uninstall your RGSC.
2 - Mount first SKIDROW iso
3 - There's a folder with prerequirements, in which you will find an installer of the needed RGSC for your L.A. Noire.

I have just fixed this issue easily and simply, by following the instructions at the Rockstar games support site

Essentially, I just had to re-run the social club installer "Social Club Setup.exe" found on DVD1, under this folder:
‘ISSetupPrerequisites\{46066852-8450-4988-9E2F-47C7A8A84C7E}'.

YMMV, hope this helps someone else.
