Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6550M 1GB DDR3

I am looking forward to install the call of duty: Modern warfare 3 on my computer. I have just built a new computer few days ago with following configuration.
    • Intel core i5-480M 2.66GHz processor
    • 4G RAM
    • ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6550M 1024MB DDR3 Graphics card
    • Windows 7 installed on 64Gb SSD

Do you think that the above configuration or the graphics card capable to run the Game?

The 6550 turned all the way games, some high and some other least asking the max. It is a mid-range graphics card, but still has a little potential.

The AMD Radeon HD 6550M (or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6550) is a renamed ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.

Because it is based on the same core as the 5650, which provides for Tung HD6550M Supporting DirectX 11, Shader Model 5.0, OpenGL 1.1 and DirectCompute 4.1OpenCL 11th The integrated video processor is still a UVD2 for H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2.

The gaming performance should conform, depending on clock speed of a HD 5650 or HD 5730th. This allows demanding games like Risen or Battlefield Bad Company 2 at medium-high detail can be played fluently. Unassuming games like Fifa 11 run in maximum levels of detail and FullHD resolution.

To me that is a good choice, keep in mind that high-end cost a lot and do not usually go in the portable series, or you buy a laptop with pci-e slot and change the graphic or brand you buy your gamer (alienware style), and cost about € 2500-3000. So that I see it.

I work but reducing the resolution to the game, ATI cards are good for some games but most are affiliated with Nvidia then have a choice but I would recommend the 6550m since 3000 and 4000 series are not specified for 6000 series graphics and mobile have optimal performance for games but if you had more options I would recommend an Nvidia card GTX560m this is the best there is and is very reliable in terms of graphics its price ... hmm well let's say around 250 dollars.. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 and believe me that this card has run black ops games like crysis bad company 2 Modern Warfare 2 on high graphics but a low resolution like 720x600.

If simply switch between IGP and discrete card, the consumption by switching between word processing and gaming proportional increase.

Am curious about the specifications of the mobile 6870 and 6970. Seems to me that much as the name suggests the same performances will continue as their desktop versions.

If you use a word processor, a Nvidia GPU is not recommended if you have a decent game to play, it's better to specialize nvidia.
