How's the framerate in Sonic Generations

How is the frame rate? I downloaded the demo for the Xbox and while the game was fun it seemed that the frame rate was a little, I'm not one of those people who can tell the difference between 59fps and 60fps, so there may have been nothing wrong.

Getting truly bad frame skip (each half second, totally game-breaking) and the FPS is locked to 60 (despite of vsync), which seems comparatively slow on my 120 Hz monitor.

I must say I'm very impressed by this, I honestly expected the PC port to be a bit lazy. So far it’s great. Considering how cheap this game is on the PC, surly having no laments. I would like to know if it's probable to eliminate the 60fps cap but not actually a big deal. As long as it's not 30 I am happy. What's really odd is the configuration lists 120 Hz as an option for me.

2D: All settings at maximum 1680x1050 and 60 strong most of the time except for maybe the most intense moments, but the fall is almost imperceptible and does not affect the game. In 3D (with the drivers and monitor iZ3D): I had to tone down the settings to obtain a playable framerate. It can be a trouble with the iZ3D driver and do not mind the game, but I handled to get somewhat convenient 1280x800, low off set shadows, AA, and the reflections set to high. Certain levels of challenge seem to really chug though I can go back to 2D in these parts. The main levels work well at 25-40fps.

In fact, properly noticed. Generations is locked at 30 fps on consoles, which is the first time that Sonic on PS3 and 360 (I think). It is a big reason why I am pleased to have this PC. As Street Fighter and Devil May Cry, this is a game that insists to be in 60 fps. I am playing with a geforce 460m, and is truly dreadful reality. Usually you can run games at maximum settings, but it's pretty ridiculous in my machine. I hope I can get a refund and instead just go ahead ps3/360.
