Comparisons of Might & Magic Heroes VI with previous Heroes of Might & Magic games

Hello friends, I have some questions, I'm sure someone here can help me with: Looking for information on the franchise that I see a lot of games called "Might and Magic" and a group called "Heroes of Might and Magic". What exactly is the dissimilarity among these two series? I am looking to buy a complete package / anthology of Heroes of Might and Magic. "Heroes of Might and Magic Complete Edition" (2008) give the impression to include it all. Is that what you need to buy if I'm looking for all games? I look forward to HoMM 6 and want to get into some of the previous games. So please tell me more about the game if you have something to say thank you.

For the former, the difference between Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic is essentially gender. While Might and Magic franchise plays like an RPG like Oblivion open world or Bethedesa Fallout series, Heroes of Might and Magic is a turn-based strategy game.
