Which weapons you want to see in Dead Rising 2: off the Record

Hello guys I am here with the interesting question on this game. I found that this game does not contain some useful weapons so for that I am starting this thread, so please post which weapons you would like to see in this game and why. According to me this game has to include Multi-Shotgun: it is useful for the two shotguns taped together to fire a wall of buckshot. Remove one of the handles so both triggers are easily accessible. Have the pump-action portions also taped together and a makeshift handle hooked to both to assist Chuck in pumping them simultaneously. For a visual reference, check out “Remington 1740”, a pet-project people has started doing where they're bolting two Remington 870 pump-actions together. Please share your weapons which you would like to see in this game? I am sure that you guys will show your response on this. All replies are appreciated.

I would like to see Pin-Cushion weapons in this game. Shotgun + Lawn-Dart provide with the Remove the "fins" from the lawn-darts and load into the muzzle, and crudely saw the barrel of the shotgun off slightly (I know it's already short as hell compared to the one in DR1) to remove the barrel choke. Make the ammo slightly less than the regular shotgun, but add clusters of lawn-darts that shred through multiple enemies to make it more effective at blasting through tightly-packed crowds. You could also probably do the same weapon with a box of nails, come to think of it.

It’s a nice discussion Armor-Piercing Meatgrinder will be the good weapons in this game. Assault Rifle in the company of Cement Saw provides you Similar to the "Boomstick", but with a more effective range. Duct-tape the rifle to the side or top of the Cement Saw. Weak attack would be slicing into a victim's chest while firing a short burst into their skull, decapitating them while mangling their torso, so it only works on an individual zombie.

I am agree with the above post. Actually this weapon is good for the Strong attack would be a sideways horizontal slash where Chuck saws the zombie in half at the chest, firing a prolonged burst simultaneously to hit a wider arc of zombies behind the saw-victim than the Boomstick's regular attack would.

I will go with the Garbage Bag + Light Machine Gun which provides you Duct-tape a garbage bag full of ammo onto the bottom of the LMG where the little box for the ammo belt is normally fed from, for a lot more ammo. To counter-act the balance issues of having an LMG with a ludicrous amount of bullets, make it so the weapon is too large to be put into your inventory, and dropped when hit like the chainsaw/cement saw/rocket launcher.

I would like to see Shotgun with the Lead Pipe which gives you Crudely-made barrel extension for the Shotgun, making its shot pattern more concentrated and giving it a longer effective range at the expense of no longer being able to hit as many of the undead in close-quarters shooting. Would be a good thing to have when escorting large groups of survivors and needing to take out zombies they’re swarming them, but don't want to run the risk of catching them with stray buckshot and having them defect. And even I would like to see Lead Pipe with the company of LMG which found that same as the Crowd-Cannon idea but with an LMG. Lengthens the weapon barrel to tighten up the "cone" of bullets when firing, making it more effective at longer ranges. Although in real-life, this wouldn't really work since an M249 SAW's barrel is rifled whereas a shotgun's is a smoothbore. But then again, in real life you wouldn't put a pair of flaming boxing gloves in your pocket either. To counter-act balance issues, make it too large to put into your inventory.

I was searching about this and I fund that many people would like to see LMG in addition with Bull Skull which help you to Attach a set of bull horns to the end of an LMG. Strong attack would be for Chuck to smack the zombie with the butt of the weapon to spin it around, and then use the horns to gore them through the back, picking them up and using them as a human shield. Regular attack would fire the weapon through the zombie's torso and into the crowds of undead, but you wouldn't be able to use left-trigger for controlled, precise shots and would be limited to firing "unaimed" when you just hit X and let Chuck automatically lock on to whatever he feels like.

Yup I agree with you but still somehow the other downside would be Chuck would move very slowly, like Frank did in DR1 when you had a zombie on an Excavator. The upside would be the impaled; flailing zombie on the end of the weapon would prevent Chuck from being grabbed from the front. Firing the weapon through the zombie's torso should send fountains of gore everywhere, respectively.

Good discussion and I would like to share some my thoughts with you guys. I would like to go with Six-Shooter plus Rocket Fireworks which help you with Frank mixing makeshift "magnum" rounds out of the gunpowder in the fireworks. Appearances would be changed by having a crude modification to reinforce the revolving chambers and some duct-tape wrapped around the handle to ensure a better grip. The muzzle-flash should be intensely bright, like a damn fireball coming out of the end to reflect the damage increase. Damage-wise, though, it should do more damage per bullet and have piercing capabilities like the Sniper Rifle rounds, penetrating through multiple zombies. To deal with balance issues, reduce the number of bullets per pick-up to 40 instead of the usual 60. An obvious nod to Dirty Harry Callahan.

I will choose Spraypaint with the company of Dynamite which give you Dynamite crudely taped to a bundle of 3 cans of spraypaint, that when detonated use the force of the compressed paint for added explosion radius and scrapnel, and as a bonus "paints" zombies near the outskirts of the blast with a random color, causing blindness.

I will go with Rocketboard. A several large bundles of Rocket Fireworks hooked together with duct-tape, and crude duct-taped harness around Frank's torso. Upon activating it, Frank is sent screeching at insane speeds for a good distance, plowing into zombies. Upon hitting its kill-limit or if not colliding with anything, a certain distance is reached, the fireworks break free of their harness and go flying off haphazardly in various directions in several colorful explosions.
