FPS drops down to 20-30 at Intensive Scenes in Crysis Warhead using GTX 560 Ti

Wondered if it is normal to be getting around 20-30 fps during intensive laser shot in the map of the airport or in general, with this configuration:
    • 6 gigs of DDR2 800 MHz RAM
    • GPU GTX 560 OC to 950 MHz
    • CPU: Q9550 OC to 3.4 GHz

I do not know if it is normal or not, but no matter what graphics settings I can put my game always seems to be at least 20 fps in intense scenes with shooting lasers are foreigners. Also the big man really gets me down real low at around 20 fps or less when the beam is fired at me. This occurs in three settings regardless of AA is the same range of 20-30 fps.

Yes, quite normal, unless you’re running an SLI / Xfire with that of 580 / 6990. It happens with me too. If you are running a heavy, anti-virus, try disabling it during the game and also try to disable background programs that may be running. Moreover, as long as you are getting a steady 30 FPS, you should be fine!

What is the over clocked GPU temps during these intense scenes? It might be overheating, overclocking and just building it of inferior quality. I'm playing with a cyclone GTX460, C2Q Q8400 OC to 3.2 GHz and 3 GB of RAM and the maximum I can without any delays anywhere. Try to place the OC (especially the memory of OC, not colder) and try again.

20-30 FPS on a GTX 560 Crysis Warhead little too low, even in areas of concentrated. You have any background applications running throughout the game. Since you have OC'd the GPU may be overheating. Download Apache HTTP Server.

Lower the overclock a bit and see if your FPS is a little higher. If it still happens, then put everything into action to reduce the chances of any damage to the video card.

I down clocked my factory overclock and I get about 20-30 on the level of the airfield. I've tartan my temperatures and was at 55 .all through the scene with the giant alien friend. Also my GPU is used only 50-60%. I also congested all my background tasks prior to you play.

I honestly have no idea what could cause such a low frame rate. I mean it very well in FPS games like Bad Company 2. In the maximum configuration that on average about 70 and by no means goes below 50. In Far Cry 2 to an utmost of 80 and never go below 50.

Your CPU is a bottleneck in this case just does not have the grunt needed to process the scene properly. No matter what Perez or configurations that can support. Basically wipe out your fps that more MHz on the CPU or switch to part NEPH / sand. I have a 5870 that banks more or less the same as yours, but for the reason that my CPU is stronger I do not obtain down underneath 30 fps at maximum settings with FSAA x2 in the majority levels. Even when it drops below its smallest amount as 27.

When you play the game, press Esc and then Alt + Tab out of the game. Then open the Task Manager and check the CPU usage. If it's 100% achievement, then we can be convinced the blockage is the CPU for the Game.

I played for about 30-40 minutes during intense scenes fps. I alt tab’s to ensure my CPU usage and was about 57%.

Then fine. CPU bottlenecks you are not the GPU while playing that game. Have you tried reinstalling the game? Try to defragment the hard drive? Clean the registry? To detect any type of malware?

Crysis is the games where GPU and CPU intensive, however tends to work superior with a elevated CPU frequency.
