Well according to Mac is quite great operating system and it seems to be reliable into many of the situation. But is less having less qualities of the gaming computer. I am not sure but the above mentioned thing might be occurring due to poor performance of the computer which you are having with you. I think you should have the better configuration of the computer of yours so that you will be able to run the game on the computer of yours.

In this particular situation I am suggesting that you should check the integrity of the files.
    • For this particular purpose you should locate the exe file of the game and you have to right click on the same.
    • Click on the Properties and then you should simply go for Local files and you have to click on the Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Once you have done you should see whether it is working or not.

Well you have mentioned over here is that you are getting the above mentioned issue because of the updating the Steam on the computer of yours. I am suggesting that you should simply uninstall the Steam from the system and reboot the system. After that you should simply install the Steam without installing the update. I am hoping that you will be able to fix the matter after reinstalling the Steam on the computer of yours.

Looking at the problem I am suspecting that there is a bug issue with the update which you have installed on the steam on the computer of yours. you should contact the developer of the Steam and file a bug report. The developer of the Steam will look in to the update and figure out the bug and they will fix the same. after fixing the bug they will release the patch which you can apply to fix the matter of yours.
