How to destroy invisible lot in The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff

I have The Sims 3 Base Game as well as The Sims 3 Night Life, World Adventure and Ambition Expansion packs installed in system. I am doing preparation for The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff which is launching on 27th July 2011. For that I have removed school from its original location. Bulldozer tool in game can’t allow me to delete entire lot. Now I can’t able to place a new lot over it. And if I want to relocate school it I can’t able to relocate it. So anyone has solution for it.

I have tried this I don’t know if it works for you. If works then it’s ok. While in the construction menu. Delete the school using bulldozer tool which is available on left bottom. Click on the school with this tool it will deletes school. Now after deleting the schools click on the bulldozer tool again. And now click on the same lot of school which is empty. It will remove this lot. Now go into construction menu. If you want to add new lot. There is one greed like option. It has different size of empty lots you can select for placing. Select the greed you want and place it. It will help you try this.

I am also having The Sims 3 and all the expansion packs installed in the system. And waiting for The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff to launch in worldwide. And about your problem I am also facing such a thing few months back. And I have resolved the issue of the game which you are facing. Try what I have done it may solve your problem. I wish it could help you. I have deleted the lot in Riverview which is around 60X60 in size using bulldozer tool and tried to place the new one on this place. But it can’t allow me to do this still there is no lot available there. So I have started new game and it displays old lots in it. There are some lots which are allowed to delete the lot but we can’t get it back.

Thanks all of you for helping me. I have game play which goes to very long. And I don’t want to make lose entire my game play for this problem I am not going to start it over from beginning but still thanks for your suggestion. In the Previous Sims game which was developed by maxis this editing was really easy. But new game says me that there is lot available. Bulldozer tool thinks that there is no lot or hidden lot which can’t be deleted by it. And I agree since there is nothing to delete for bulldozer tool. I think it need some patch to solve this issue.

I have one solution for you which may solve your problem. Since I have also the same problem while deleting lot and it can’t allow me to place new lot on the position of the old lot since there is lot invisible for the bulldozer tool. Try this if you can’t able to add the new lot over old one but you can move the empty lot. Go to lots mode and select invisible lot and move this to other place. Now you can place new one over this position. Since older one you have placed in other place. I agree that it is the problem and it must be solved by EA. They must launch patch to resolve this issue.
