Echelon operational strategy for Soviet AI in Supreme Ruler Cold War

If the war continues to hot weather in Europe I would see the Soviet use Echelon's operating strategy AI. Replacement of worn units with follow-up fresh forces. Without going through some cities. Using the Air Force in droves to take and hold key points of drowning. In fact, using the Hinds and hips to move troops around Afghanistan. Air mobility must be used by the AI, which is after all the time really was "born" in. anyone have any further notes on this?

One could argue that the mobility of air (no air support Apache, etc.) peaked in Vetnam. But it could also be said if Vietnam had been won, is likely to be used again in that area too. And of course that is used heavily on a small scale even today. And in a hot war Europe the idea of mobile air assets would have a highly mobile reserve to put in the way that army shock breaking through the third and the purchase of 24-48 hours for heavier reserves to respond. Also in a hot war or a game with more on the possibility that the front to absorb the mass lower than free to use more.

What other argument is that Helo refueling is now integrated in comparison to the Vietnam era. And of course the land dictates, so we still see a lot of confidence in Afghanistan. There's even been a shortage of helicopters in Afghanistan, which the Osprey is being used to cover part. I do not think there's any doubt the doctrine is still used, and I do not think there's any question that was used largely in the period of the Cold War. The only questions are which I can make the AI to use it reliably, and developers to do so.

Some of the factors that make the air mobility in the crime under an effective tactic for SR2020 is the existence of significant anti-air units, as patriots and the like, with long-range spots. Throw in the air superiority over friendly territory in the mix, and there are suicide missions rather than offensive tactics. Even if we go back to World War II and Korea, it is rare to find air deployments carried out in areas where the attacker did not have air superiority. If you check out a battle Soviet and NATO forces in Europe would be difficult for either side to gain air superiority over the other side on its own territory.

How about adding a new command, "supervision" - What would work is almost like the order to escort exception that would track a hexagon behind the unit that is assigned if the unit stops the unit Overwatch hexagonal leaves behind his unit. The way I see it work is something like this. An infantry unit. Overwatch Arty unit assigned to the infantry. A truckload of supplies allocated to the unit of Arty. various combinations of escorts and Overwatch could be developed, too many to list. Basically, once you've made all your tasks, click one could move the drives to dozens of positions.

it’s a good point. However, the total lack of air superiority in World War III scenario the European theater would not likely have ruled out the use of large aircraft operations. Both parties had embedded in its doctrine. NATO wants to use its territory as a blocking action. Also, as you suggest investing significant air assets to support. I'm rusty on the subject, but I thought the general belief was that NATO should begin to gain air superiority.
