Is Horse Cavalry there in Supreme Ruler Cold War

During the Cold War, several countries have large formations of cavalry; China was the largest with 11 divisions. Will these units are put into the game? Although later in the Cold War, these units more or less opposite a. South Africa used horses for late 1980 early 1990 for counterinsurgency operations and general patrol and duets is to reform the unit to operate on the board again. Anyone have any idea about this? I n\really need to know this before buying this game.

The British Army still has two regiments of mounted Horse Guards and Canadians have two squads (and GGHG RCMP) and the German Army still has two battalions of horsemen, the U.S. Army units had to have training riding Sheffield CFB Afghanistan, recently. Grey's Scouts were Rhodesia and Angola Portugal Dragons, I know they have SA, but do not know the exact names of the regiments, which were not in the Commands and to my knowledge still are.

Everything is fine, but guys are far from the regiments of the brigade size or even divisions normally used for combat operations independently. Sure, they may be at stake, but will basically be able to fight infantry regiment of the same normal, but with the speed of the movement slightly larger and much higher range and the application of supply - you know, care horses (medical, food, etc) is much more logistically difficult for the supply of vehicles.

South Africa commands have been dissolved. SA unit combines horse riding in a regiment, the dog and the engine cycle. Now it is back SANDF on the border now will carry out the border patrol. Vechals break more than the horse’s sike. Cost wise a horse is cheaper than the vehicle per mile tacks on the type of account of Tehran. The horses are really capable of all vehicles to go Teran places only can dream of going.

I do not see the cavalry (units actually riding their horses in battle) as viable. The First World War put an end to that. Mounted infantry is another story. Especially when supported by trains of pack animals. This provides a reasonable strategic mobility in the wildest areas of the world. However, the key to this kind of thing these days is that you have to have these specialized units in the continued existence and ongoing training. Otherwise if you expect to take the average city street and train he to ride and properly set up a freight train on the mule just a few weeks will be seriously disappointed.

There have been several people who then have seen fit to provide counterexamples scattered through space and time suggests that the cavalry charge, you can work because of what this or that place is said to have succeeded. However, I would be willing to bet a cold beer in each case where there was a "cavalry charge" who worked the unit in question was not trying to engage an enemy unit that was correctly positioned for defense with adequate support machine guns.

Afghans during the Soviet occupation had much success with cavalry charges against the T-55 antitank grenades, hand held. You are also forgetting that the Bundeswehr during the Cold War was over 2400 Marder MICV from the 1960's, as well as two brigades of elite, Italy had five brigades of the Alps. Awarded by the end of the Cold War, most nations abandoned the cavalry, but others began to see a greater need for them, India maintains a full regiment and Russia is recreating the Cossack cavalry regiments and Jane Defense Weekly is advocating the rise of chivalry. The nations who think that oil will never run very sad when it finally does.

Re: Is Horse Cavalry there in Supreme Ruler Cold War

I've been saying that the cavalry charge as a tactic is dead and that the cavalry is a great disadvantage compared to modern combat units. The examples I have cited have been largely at the strategic level where the cavalry, or rather mounted infantry units were able to use the advantages of mobility in which the units of the enemy was a terrible field to circumvent enemy units and then either cut their supply lines or take her back. In which case the fight occurred was most definitely test the ability of a "cavalry charge" to get a modern unit in a prepared defensive position.
