Does Supreme Ruler Cold War have Light Infantry as leg infantry

Once you are Light Infantry motorized transport is no longer the light infantry. Despite the U.S. was carried Motorized Infantry light as part of the 9th Infantry Division (Motorized). After Vietnam the Army in Creighton Abrams began a campaign to machining the bulk of their forces. Was sustained until General Edward Meyer exchanges blocked and started looking for ways to progress infantry divisions. The Ninth Infantry Division was chosen a high-stake testing expertise. Distorted the test light bed of the Division and with the arrival of Light Infantry Divisions became the divan of the test Motorized Division.

The first option was the LAV-25 (when the Marines began to buy them). Congress knocked him down. It uses a large number of SUVs with the TOWS as a placeholder for Assault gun systems are being urbanized. That was as well disregarded. The Army got wedged with placeholders Humvee. While the Stryker urbanized from the necessity for motorized army has beyond one thing. The light infantry divisions and wrought beneath the Reagan Administration should not at all have been twisted as the Stryker were and currently should not be seen as a "bridge" between the "light and grave forces" that should be in lay for infantry units lightly.

I came across this idea in other places recently. It is very interesting, and perhaps suggests there is a myth about the light than to urban land and others. Mobile air / Assault benefit more in the operational level. Possibly it's the similar with light. Do you have any thought what LI looks preferably? On the day of my engine was measured too light. That said, with current infantry weapons we may be entering a new period of superiority dismount. But obviously, if removed for a walk and track ammunition stores with a gun the better.

The ATGM weapon Havilah is able to "infantry", but it weighs (about 50 for launchers and missiles LB) long and is quite expensive ($ 125,000 per Launcher, $ 75,000 per missile). A company the size of dismantling the unit is likely to have a very finite quantity launchers and a limited number of recharges. While it may be able to avoid an attack by mechanized forces for a limited time only foot troops give a "decisive" advantage. Other weapons such as exploding in the air the crew target of 25 mm served weapons (lime counterpart and 0.50) were light weight, but the weight of the bullets is at a standstill a trouble. All stated weapons systems are greatly susceptible to small arms, mortars, and so on, as the remaining of the dismounted force.

As the first part, the light infantry, light infantry, has limited utility. What is light infantry, air mobile / assault or not the "operational level" if an enemy can be one) is blocked and that the losses at the tactical level by using the militia / irregular or 2) may be problems in by hand or with mechanized forces. I fear the day when a group of Marines landed or the Army Rangers, MD 10, or by the troop’s air assault / air actually comes straight beside a mechanized force slightly relevant.

Maybe I should make a long answer short. The Stryker is considered "light" and the forces of a large force must be maintained. The next GCV should be divided into parts. A 'light' vehicles in the range of tons 15-20 with the protection of not less than one cat-1 MRAP mine / IED and good all around protection to replace the M113, Stryker and RSPO lot lighter. A heavy vehicle in the range of 30 to 45 tons, definitely up to replace the Bradley and the heavier RSPO. You cannot do both with the same vehicle and if you try, you will end up with the same problems that Bradley had earlier models.

In my humble opinion that depend only on what armed with infantry weapons. If they continue to be armed with weapons in the room shown below in default gauges like .223 Remington (5.56 x 45 mm NATO), then you will need something with a larger, heavier weapon near support. Fortunately, at least in the first manifestations of the Cold War, U.S. forces were armed with infantry weapons of real cameras in real rifle calibers, the .30-06 Springfield and .308 Winchester. Both the .30-06 Springfield and .308 Winchester (7.62 x 51 mm NATO) have gone on to win worldwide fame as well as good hunting cartridges, as well as long-range accuracy.

While changing the size of the bullet cannot hurt, but think it will give U.S. forces a decisive stupidity to get dry. And do not give them the vehicles they need in the off chance that might not be able to go to a few positions is even inferior. There is a few soil is not worth fighting. If the opponent recoils in this area in this just stops them from bringing food and starve them out. There is no reason to "go after them." And if they can get enough food to support a force large enough, then there is obviously a way for vehicles in and if the enemy can be.
