Just Cause 2 ingame screen problem

Just bought the game Just cause 2 on steam after watching some videos about it, and then i started the game up with no problems.
But after the intro and the gameplay started, i could only see my person and the environment around me, but i couldnt see anything else, no minimap, no weapon loadout or nothing.
I managed to play through the first mission to see if it was maybe something with only the first, but after that the problem still stayed there.
Any idea on how to fix that?

Can you tells us which video card have you installed in your pc or your full computer spceifications? Which operating system is used in your computer? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the game to find out if it is working for you? Did you install the latest directx componenets on your pc? Have you tried playing the game in normal settings?
