Portal 2 keeps runtime error when on the loading screen

I have installed this game on my system and thing here is that when I am trying to launch the game on my system then it is giving me an error and that is nothing but the runtime error. I really don’t know why this thing is happening and how I can undergo such issues. So please help me in this case and let me know what I can do to solve the problem here and also want to experience the gaming experience as soon as possible.

If you start the game and monitor keep on giving a black effect then at that time you are only able to get the audio but the display on the screen matters the most. Now the thing here is that if you are playing the game on a laptop and using the nVidia graphic card then just remember that you are installing the Portal.exe file in the nVidia control panel. I am sure that doing the same will definitely allow you to solve the issue here.

Well if the game is not installed properly on the system then it will surely give you the runtime error. Now what you have to do here is that just try and uninstall the game and see whether the copy of the game that you have installed is the original one. Well I want to know whether any kind of antivirus or firewall is installed on your system because if you are installing it then it will definitely block the game play for some security reasons. So now what I want you to do here is that just try and disable the firewall and remove the antivirus for a time being and then see whether you are able to start the game. I hope that disabling the firewall gives you a slight upper hand in starting the game.

To solve this issue I want you to just follow the below mentioned steps:

• First of all exit the steam completely
• Now you just have to make a new folder in drive where steam is installed
• Copy steam folder to new folder
• Then go to the Control panel -> uninstall program
• And select the steam to uninstall
• After that download the steam from a official site
• And then you may need to install the standard directory of the steam
• Now start the steam
• Double click on steam program, wait for download to begin
• After 10-30 seconds, pause download and exit steam completely
• Copy steam\steamapps\common\portal 2 to the new \common\portal folder. overwrite all
• And once the transfer is completed you need to close the steam and load the same again
• At last launch the portal 2 game and enjoy.
