Sims 3: How To Recover Save Game File

Have you ever tried to find your saved game is missing or not, or the error code 13 while savings and the loss of your progress? To get your game back, do the following:

Go to this file
My Documents\ Electronic Arts\ The Sims 3\ Saves

As you go to this folder search for your saved game. If you named your game Suncity, you should see:
Suncity.sims3
Suncity.sims3.backup

Instructions
Rename Suncity.sims3.backup to Suncity.sims3
Then
Delete Suncity.sims3

If any of your file which ends with the name .bad, delete that.

Start your game now, and your town will be back. The backup file will be automatically created. If you don't have a backup file, all you need to do is just delete Suncity.bad , and your saved game should return.

Hello! Rajun Please help me if you can. I did exactly what you said it just put my original town did not return. As for Suncity had three backup files and none said corrupt or bad. However, the Riverview was wrong I have deleted files as you said. Only I still have the Riverview Town. I'm so smart with computers and since the updates are downloaded patches on my game I have been having some problems. Help me if you can.

This saves re-trick does not work unless the game is saved to a file. bad
Suncity You said there were three backup files. Try making a copy of the last backup of Suncity, and rename yourtownname.sims3.

I have got a very nice way to completely avoid the Error Code 12s and 13s:

1: Get a kitchen timer, set it for an hour, and place it next to your computer.
2: When the timer goes off, Save and Exit, and reset the timer.
3: Start playing again. Rinse and repeat.

The error tunes up when it is not existed for many hours.
