    Resistance 3 Preview

Here is the preview for the upcoming Resistance 3 for PS3 exclusive titles which will come out this year. One of the titles we played was this Resistance 3, new installment of the series that promises to take the best of the above to achieve a more balanced title, which we bring you, our impressions.

The game is set several years after the last title, but did not give us details of the argument. Yes as told developer have recovered elements of the first part, like the creation of weapons or the return of the kits, and character is no longer regenerate your life when you are covered for a while, as happens in most current gender games, but must find objects that heal. In the demo we tried, the mechanics of the game was mostly resist the hordes of enemies and advance the position, but do not know if this type of gameplay will be common throughout the game, or only at times.

The game took place in a town called Haven. We started in a house located in a plaza and other characters were with us. Soon they began to get hordes of aliens who were scattered around the square and fired on us and our partners. These enemies are extremely agile, and a jump could go a long way, so we had to be very attentive to their movements, both at the time of shooting (as usual after a few shots to jump to another position safe ) and to control their seizures. In addition to the jumps, we should take care of their accuracy and their careful when shooting, and doubted not cover or change to better positions to attack. By not regenerate life, we should find kits for the area to heal, something that threatened our integrity (since enemies kept coming for quite some time) but gave a lot of excitement to the game. The same thing happened with ammunition, generally quite low, especially considering that, at least in the game we played, we could not take up arms or ammunition of the dead aliens, so we had to make do with what we found for stage.

    Re: Resistance 3 Preview

Cleared the first area, our partners moved to another, and after reaching it after a surprise attack by one of the aliens, we encountered a scene quite similar to the first: our group on one side, with coverage to protect us, and aliens across the street, also with areas covered. After killing them all (this time the battle lasted less than the first) and we discovered that we could advance on the roof of a building (which reached by a ladder) had access to reload our weapons to the maximum, which is useful because that after the house even more enemies appeared ready to get things even more difficult shots from different heights.

But even after finishing all the enemies (and there were a bunch of them) could not claim victory, as the situation would only worsen. Suddenly appeared a huge monster the size of a small building that was thrown after us and our partners. Fortunately, their attacks were body to body, so the strategy was to keep a distance and unload on him all we had, but was not going to be as easy as the beast moved pretty fast and had an attack as it went against us at great speed, taking away a good portion of our lives.

Another problem was the great strength of the monster, and it seemed to resist a lot of bullets (although it was resenting slowly), which forced us to have to go to the array to recharge, which at first seemed to us good idea, since from the heights would better angle shot against the enemy and by the way would avoid their attacks more dangerous. Big mistake, since shortly after ascending to the roof and the monster followed us up as well, which forced us to go down at full speed before being struck. Fortunately, despite follow us, gave us enough time to recharge, so after a while to run so we will not reach (and looking kits when they could) and to keep firing away everything we had, the beast fell and the demo ended with us and our partners leaving the area.

    Re: Resistance 3 Preview

    Conclusion:

Graphically the game looks good, and really enjoyed the scene, an abandoned village that was hit by wind and rain, which made him look even more bleak. The character models and enemies, but they looked good, may not reach the level of other games in the genre, although we must say that in the case of the beast the end of the demo, graphic finish was spectacular. Something else I noticed is that the game pretty abused blur effect (see how things fade as we move), something we do not know if you can get a bit tiresome. Finally, commenting that the game is quite stable and did not suffer declines in the rate of frames per second significant.

Certainly the demo of this Resistance 3 plays quite well with the game's title, as it tries to resist any way we can. We do not know if much of the game is based on this engine or if instead the demo is not significant to what we find during the season (assuming that combine different types of situations.) What we do know is that the distressing feeling of being in the minority, seeing as we are running out of ammunition no longer appear as enemies and do whatever it takes to survive is very well achieved. At the moment we've proven we liked a lot and we were awaiting to play the game further.
