    Killzone 3 Preview

The war between the Terrans and the Helghast is about to take its 3rd stage. Killzone 2 made to wait many years, but finally met its commitment to be one of the technical milestones of PlayStation 3 at the time, this third installment comes much sooner than we have imagined, and all-inclusive. PlayStation Move has image in 3 dimensions and comprises player demands as the co-op, and will be in February 2011.

Apparently, this third part is an incessant delivery, after achieving a great game with Killzone 2, which sufficiently satisfied the expectations, unlike the former Killzone, in spite of all the amount of smoke that preceded it. The control remains the same, it works just as well, and the style of play is as well very alike. The 2 most remarkable changes come in the first minutes of the game. That is the improved graphics, keeping the style cloudy and industrial settings and adding additional personal touch to the characters faces. In addition, gameplay has turned into more varied, making the situation much less repeat.

Killzone 3 directly following the 2nd part does not expect dramatic changes aesthetic, technical, contextual, or even in terms of grip. Though, whether by adding a cooperative mode or compatibility with the Playstation Move, Guerrilla developers were keen to advance this part. They also did a lot of effort at directing in-game to submerge the player in the epicenter of a conflict even more dynamic, more impressive even quasi-apocalyptic. This affects contribute even if the passages that are in this version were not present in the first chapters of the adventure. Still, that is as Killzone 3 , Killzone 2 + one. Extra immersive, extra oppressive, extra explosive, extra spectacular ... You are warned, Guerrilla wants to make an impression, carefully avoiding the lengths and offer an SPF consumable and repeatable by anyone.

Make more varied the game was one of the promises of the developers and, as we have seen, are on track to fulfill. You can find that the gameplay is different, swapping fire between trenches, airship rides and assaults at the controls of a jetpack. In this draft version, much longer in duration, you will find that although obviously we will never stop shooting in first person, dissimilar circumstances are interspersed with very good pace, making the game is tolerable and addictive, something that may have learned from the last great lesson in this regard, given by Uncharted 2 a year ago.

Another thing you will notice in the opening minutes is that developers have given more weight to history. The Killzone series has a background and a chronology that most fans know, but in regard to cinematic storytelling has always been something behind other first person shooters that do have a strong commitment to involve the player in the struggle for that is hitting many shots, and familiarize you with the characters. In the first cinematic we've seen Killzone 3 is noted, and much, that Guerrilla Games wants us to feel that we are Sev, and Sev is a hero, and we involve them more with the other characters, such as Rico and a new girl part of our squad, and even enemies, human after all and not as necessarily evil. It shows the human and personal touch as it helps the better definition of the faces.

The trial did not start at the beginning of the game, but on one hand, and advanced and we began with a shooting exploring enemy turf, the Helghast were well armed and organized, and our offense, accompanied by several companions, proceeded slowly as ended up with regular troops and snipers, crouching behind objects and structures of the stage as we walked. After this part, we walked a few trenches, where they emerged runner’s enemies in his own journey or from above, including one with a flamethrower. Soon, we were a pretty memorable sequence, a battle against a gigantic machine Helghast, a kind of four-legged giant tank, armed with all kinds of machine guns, mortars and rocket launchers.

The giant robot was gunfire alternating with times when left exposed their cooling devices. To end its weapons and rocket systems use a special, capable of setting targets, and several small rockets fired at the same time, about which I had spoken previously. For a few minutes you get this fight against this formidable enemy, which is interspersed with moments of desperate escapes to rain of enemy fire and incursions Helghast ships deployment, while on the radio, we are saying what is happening, and what we do.

This is an example of some of the moments with which we are in this trial, which as already mentioned abundant alternation between different situations, which makes the game more varied and fun. Destriparos But beyond the game, its history and situation, it is better to comment on some changes regarding Killzone 2, a very accomplished shooter two years ago, has been much improved this time.

The artificial intelligence of enemies is much better than that of Killzone 2, a section in the previous delivery care, but sometimes produces absurd behavior, suicide on the enemies. On this occasion, the enemies behave more intelligent and organized. As there is a turret with a Helghast down, another quickly appears to be replaced, and when shooting entrenched, they do well, covering frequently, alternating to shoot and, ultimately posing a major challenge.

    Re: Killzone 3 Preview

The battles of the previous game were sometimes large-scale, but Killzone 3 or at least we have seen, are much more active. Some scenarios are more open, making the battlefield a runner not to be mastered, but an area with a sort of open front, which changes continuously. Thus, boarding too dominated an area that we might hold unpleasant surprises in the form of shots from the side, and even from behind, other Helghast who have come to the assistance from another part of the map. The scale of the scenarios is greater, and its activity. There are more allies shooting, finished with Helghast them, but also die, so that the feeling is less of "me against the world."

We should also mention that the deaths were changed melee, a section usually automatic in first person shooters, Killzone 3, but that has been given a twist. Sometimes requires more than one beat, as if an interactive event and this varies depending on the weapon he was carrying. There are even "fatalities," particularly violent deaths: that we are left with Sev puts his fingers in the famous red glasses the Helghast, snap and crush the enemy's eyes.

The gameplay of Killzone 3 should remain faithful to the sibling, the "ATH also. You will just get used to distinguish between the indication of grenade and your health, both displayed info fairly similar to screen. Maneuverability is relatively heavy for its part a blessing in disguise because the movements are meant enough credible. In any case, we will not be homesick! Still, the game opens at Guerrilla multiplayer split screen, This was not the case the second part, to the dismay of fans of the series. We were able to test it and there is no doubt that this split-screen split. Rather than opting for a conventional horizontal split, developers have followed suit of games, like Resident Evil 5, depriving them of a portion of the screen to display a vertical division slightly offset.

A graphic level the game marks a new milestone in PlayStation 3, but could not tell if comparable to the spectacular opening scenes of God of War 3. In any case, the enemies are now much better animated, reacting differently to the shots and explosions. It is particularly attractive to blow up an explosive barrel, the shock wave from the explosion triggered the fire, and a pledge to behave as enemies and are on fire, trying to keep fighting while fleeing to avoid death.

Besides the already mentioned improvement of the faces, the scenarios are much denser amount of detail and objects, and graphics and lighting effects have improved considerably. Not just the explosions and fire already mentioned, also the smoke, lighting effects, from the general tone of the stage to suit the blue lights of the soldiers, the shock ... everything moves smoothly, even at 720p, at least for now.

Although we have not tested this version in 3D (yes we did at E3), which we have had occasion to test is the PlayStation Move control, both using the Navigation Controller to move, as his left hand clutching a Dual Shock 3 for Thus, while shooting with the master on Move. The sensation is novel to be the PlayStation 3, although similar to that of Wii games, and it works pretty well. The cooperative split-screen, a feature with which few games dare, it works pretty well. The larger scale of the scenarios allows for plenty of work for both players, and even low-level graphic detail about certain things, the game's engine is not affected.

The sound has good quality and quite dramatic, in keeping with the cinematic sequences. The music is not noted for his role, but rather environmental action, while the sound effects are equally dramatic. In the annotated sequence of the robot / spider giant, were deafening in the right direction. It is still seeking the usefulness of such a process, especially TV on a small, two-player mode that will require you to frown a bunch of times. It's more in terms of moving the split screen will be interesting, allowing two players with different profiles to shed more easier and faster to the enemy, one in assault mode, one in sniper mode. Finally, we asked the Dualshock to replace the Playstation Move to note two things: it is more difficult to move, especially in situations of emergency or panic, the Move, but alongside a lot easier to aim with this accessory with the analog stick on the pad. The Move we felt very balanced and be a credible alternative to the joystick.

    Conclusion:

Killzone 3 is as good looking as the second party had its day. In fact, it faces much bigger competition, but the progress of play regarding Killzone 2 were significant, in spite of being a fairly incessant delivery, and the extras of the cooperative, PlayStation Move and do the 3D image to be the last. As we now knew that Killzone 3 is a direct result of 2, should not score as many spirits as previous solo at least. However, its profile is easy to learn, but occasionally demanding. The SPF Guerrilla will obviously be more immersive and more spectacular than its forerunner and will be based on the Mode 2 players in split screen and compatibility with Playstation Move. The intensity of the single player campaign is certainly more to prove. There are still many things to prove in this part especially like multiplayer, which for now is mysterious. Killzone 3 will be available on consoles in just two months.
