COD Black Ops Blank Screen but audio is working

I have pruchased COD: Black Ops, when i try to launch the game, I can hear the audio of introduction video, till the sounds come to the main menu but the screen is blank. I tried to press keywords button but nothing is happening, and even its not freezing game or making it crash. I havent update the drivers for Directx, even i try msconfig but no luck. Can you please help whats wrong i seriously dont understand.

Notebook (Sony Vaio VPCEC35FG series)
Intel i5 - 540M
1GB nVidia GeForce GT 325M (Optimus Technology)
17" screen
1 TB HDD
Ram 4GB DDR2
OS Window 7 Ultimate 64bit.

I am also facing the same problems, I think we have to wait for the fix, I tried Zombies, menu workds, intro work but no game.

I faced this issue already with Dark Void. What happen here is m graphic card drivers was outdated. I was before playing with some display utilities for improving my graphic. After removing them I face black screen issue. Windows however installed the old drivers and while playing games like Dark Void there was no display on the screen. I updated the drivers and it worked, try that in your case also.

It can be due to the resolution settings. A similar issue was with Total Overdose. It is an old game but I think this solution can give some highlights. When I launch the game my screen goes black and the game music plays in the background. It happens a number of time. Then to fix the same, I found a solution google. It says that right click on the icon of game and first choose compatibility mode. If not work then tick on run in 256 colors. There is also a resolution setting. Once the game screen came up I clicked on option and set the game resolution as per my monitor.
