Character Creation in Fallout New Vegas

I would like to share some observations about the Character Creation in Fallout New Vegas. Nothing new under the sun, the creation of our character is similar to previous releases incorporating the option of creating it to our taste from the skin to their clothes (You will not believe it is like in Oblivion), or if we are not in that choosing combination one of the options pre-generated. If the character is created from scratch is enabled, Tough Guy (Hard Type) which when enabled will not allow us to record at all in the mission only when it is finished successfully and there have access to one of the bases of the Brotherhood scattered on the map. Obviously such a restriction will bring the experience gained from these missions is even 50% higher than with the option disabled. Within each of the bases of the Brotherhood can talk and interact with a lot of NPCs and even stock up on new weapons and recruits for the team and then use them in the next mission that will be assigned by your superiors. Luckily vehicles were also included in this release which not only can be used to store weapons and equipment but also as a weapon ... for treading and trampling foes. I am hoping that some more guys will discuss about the gameplay and graphic.

Unlike previous installments in this case is centered on the battles, although it has touches of role (as Level to the characters) the battle here is fundamental in scenarios for achieving a specific objective in each of them. Here the action is real time but in turn as we had seen before but the novelty is that actions can be taken by groups and can even play in real time if you want but unfortunately this option becomes very difficult after beginning of the game when the maneuvers to be performed need surgical precision because of very good IA implemented.

The engine used is banks even better 1024x768 resolution everything seen so far. The animations and details of the stages were fantastic and we could see the days follow one another may see the dawn and dusk, even during some of the missions. And the graphic violence is not left behind, including new forms of death to the enemies, giving us scenes where blood and bodies flying across the screen. While it is aesthetically a little different to previous RPGs the way of playing is the same and anyone who has played any of the previous games will be in its element using the interface and inventory. The game suffered some problems with certain machines of the time so had to download a 80 meg patch at that time was far to solve some problems with graphics and some crashes in some scenarios, but nothing serious.

In a very delicate financial situation was getting increasingly serious, the Interplay people came up with the idea of diversifying their products and reach the banks of the Xbox and PlayStation 2 at that time had gained such popularity that it had eclipsed Nintendo GameCube had better graphics. And they had no better idea to gamble by developing a game based on one of its most important franchises like Fallout (also left the Baldur's Gate) to play it safe. While the game was an RPG that was different from its predecessors because it is a classic game hack & slash action launched in early 2004 and unfortunately for Interplay no high expectations of gamers. In the game you're an initiate of the Brotherhood of Steel, similar to that seen in the Fallout Tactics, which has been separated from your teammates, so your first objective is to find and thus begins the adventure that will take you to clear an area of rad scorpions, battle mutants and pirates among other duties.

The game unlike the previous ones only let you play with 6 characters in the story, though one of them were unlockable in the game once finished, if it was that you dared to do, or arriving at different events in history. Each one of the characters of course have their respective characteristics and motivations to join the Brotherhood which will result in that these stories ever close, but everyone is playing exactly the same, there is no difference between the variety of playable characters. We could only go to improve the skills to win a general level and skill system is simplified too much for this game, a shame. Besides the game gave you the chance to play the adventure cooperatively with another partner, something piola that time. In the game unfolding in real time bending could run, jump and even perform quick maneuvers to avoid enemy attack. The battle system worked with a car pointing to the enemy target you wanted to attack for it to be hit by your attack. Unfortunately the game after a few hours it becomes very repetitive and tiring ended more than a few events that are triggered upon reaching different parts of the scenarios.

These were not detailed and the PS2 version you could see even more, the cut-scenes made with the engine of the game were pretty poor as well as those that could be to talk to the NPC. Anyone who has played any of the previous games will feel immediately at ease with what he sees as basically the recycling of all the scenarios previously seen. The sound was well blended with the music of heavy bands, like the FX, but there was a feeling that could have been better.

The expansion at hand, Operation Anchorage, is the first of three that have been revealed so far. You can read more about this encounter with Gardiner in our interview, since it is time to focus in Anchorage, which is available for both Xbox 360 and PC. In a decision criticized and controversial, Bethesda has excluded PlayStation 3 players of these discharges, so we will not see, at least for now, any extension in the Sony desktop. Entering the contents of Operation Anchorage (OA) is a new play area, which combines simulation and interaction in the real map. Of course, what is most striking is its groundbreaking aesthetic, leaving the sad and desolate landscapes of the Wasteland at the expense of the snowy mountains of Alaska. Although we will talk later about it, this is a tremendously pretty direct and breaks the usual style of play Fallout 3. OA begins with a radio signal to our PipBoy. The call for help from a renegade brotherhood of steel guides our feet to the south of Megaton. There, in a building complex, a group of soldiers calling for help is fighting a fierce group of super mutants. After assisting them with our weapons and clean the area, we are led to the bottom of the complex, which we will be invited to join the combat simulation. This simulation is intended to open a weapons cache which entry can only be unlocked if you complete the full program of the rescue of Alaska. We then introduce a capsule of virtual reality and will be introduced into a system similar to that used in Tranquility Lane, but with a much more hostile environment.

We will make an appearance in the snowy mountains of Alaska, along with a U.S. soldier who quickly put us in a situation. We must infiltrate or raze everything to the nearest arsenal, which is our next waypoint. Stripped of all objects and real weapons of our body, we will have a silenced pistol and a combat knife as the only defense. Quickly begin to see the difference of this simulation with reality, because the enemies will vanish when removed, preventing the use of his belongings. Nor will find food or supplies, and to recover energy we use some special pumps to fill up our health. Then we notice that in OA fade many aspects that made Fallout 3 a great title. In fact, the interaction with the scene is extremely limited, and is permitted only with suppliers of life and ammunition and the weapons we can equip. We're in a very linear set of maps, which we just move forward to achieve our next target. Reached the armory, we find Benjamin Montgomery, American sergeant will serve as a comrade in arms as we move to the next mission of the new content pack.
