Fallout New Vegas - Will there be a stand-alone patch ?

Hello,
I have a system at the home through which i play the online games. But from yesterday my machine is having some problems in connecting internet. Due to this reason i am not able to play the game online. I want to ask you one thing that, can there be a stand-alone patch for this? If there any one who can help me out? I am using a notebook for playing the games. Please help me out,as i don't like to play the game offline.
Configuration-
HP notebook
1 GB ram
2.4 GHZ processor.
150 Hard drive

What i feel is that the the patch was released in order to fix the issue of steam. It only solves stream related issues. As you have also ask for a stand-alone patch, i think that till now no stand-alone patch have been released. This is what i know about this problem. I think that your problem might be related with the internet connection and not with the game. I will advice you to reset your internet connection settings. You also need to do one thing i.e. you require to check that, is there any application running on you system which is using the internet, if yes then close the application and now try to connect the internet. I will also advice you to perform a complete scan of the system. You try out this fixes and see what you get. I feel that doing all this thing will help you in solving your issue. Even i am getting the same issue on my system. I normally use the wireless connection for connecting with the internet. I have a laptop for connecting with the internet and playing the online games and i want to tell you that i have not got this kind of problem in my life. What should i do now in order to solve this problem? Do you have solution for my problem. Please recommend me the one as i am looking for it. Hope you will be able to provide me the fix.

I will advice you to do the following thing on your system
-You need to remove the driver for the wireless connection.
-After that you restart the system
-After a restart you have to again reinstall the driver.
-You now try to connect it with the internet.
If this solve the problem then it is fine other wise there is problem related with your internet device. Hope have helped you.
