Issue with .Sims3pack file while downloading

I have a Macbook Pro and it is been installed with Mac OS X. The problem that I am facing is with the custom content of .Sims3pack file that is been downloaded. When I perform the same the system gets freeze. I do not know what could have been causing this. Whereas I am able to process with .package files and it works perfectly, for some odd reason the houses in .Sims3pack files downloads fine. Please suggest a better solution so that I can then be able to make the issue to be solved and work accordingly well. Hope to get the solution to make the aspect to be processed.

As per your issue the issue seems to be the mods folder that may be found. If it is there you need to remove it and then install the same by performing the task with the launcher. Other than that if it is not working then I would suggest you to try repairing disk permissions. That sometimes fixes the oddest things. In case you're not familiar with this, go to Applications/Utilities and launch the Disk Utilities app. Select your HD & "repair permissions" in the lower left corner and let it run. Also dump the preferences files for the game. They are located in your user folder under Library/Preferences/The Sims 3 Preferences. Also, delete any files called .tginstall that you find in the Preferences folder as well. This could well being helpful and may then process out for the associated thing that is required. Basically the issue is with the patch that you may have been using or installed. The patch 1.8 which is been released is not able to work well. Also for you information Ever since the 1.8 patch the launcher has not been working correctly. This is because EA changed some code to prevent sharing of it's SimStore content. Now stand alone custom patterns, recolours of store items and objects cloned/made from store items will also fail to install. The other issue people are having is when the launcher tells you something has been successfully installed, but isn't. So contact the developer for the same and get the fix to be functioned. So it will be better for the same that is essential. This will be helpful for you.

There some steps which needs to be followed well for sorting the thing that is required. As the changes is been performed you may then be able to get functioned or process out with the bugs that is causing the system ot get freeze. All you need to do is to store the items downloaded directly from the store, just redownload again, it will eventually work. Alternately try the next option. For store items that have been saved from your download folder/backed up/etc you can Decrapify. Decrapify is a J.M. Pescado tool, which removes the problem and allows you to put the fixed .sims3pack into your downloads folder and install as normal. To use, simply extract the decrapify.exe and drag the broken .sims3pack over it. A DOS window will flash up for a second and then it is done. This is the best option. Extract the files into .packages. This option can take a while, and on some games really cause lag. You can use this tool to break a .sims3pack into a .package file. The DBC file option is no longer recommended. So you have to take the necessary steps that is make sure that you have deleted the files in the DCCache folder, Also you have deleted the sim3packs that was installed. The cache files you wanted to delete are not in that folder, they are under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder
