Gothic 3 APPCRASH

I installed gothic 3 from a torrent but whenever I run it, with or without the patches, it always crashes!

First of all can you please tell us what is your computer specifications? Does your pc meets up with the full game requirements? What operating system have you installed in your pc? Deactivate the Depth of Field-Feature in the options menu when using a Shader 2.0-card, since it will make your game unplayable otherwise, unless it crashes it altogether.
