Games in Windows 7 not going full screen

I have recently installed Windows 7 on my computer. Everything went as it was expected but now the problem is that I am unable to play my games in full screen. They are currently displayed in Window mode. The Windows desktop screen and the icons on it confuses me a lot during the game play. What should be done to bring it to full screen?

It is because you might not be having latest Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your computer. I was also having a similar problem and after installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 beta 2 the problem was solved.
